The reCAPTCHA integration will let you set up the free service from Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse.
A “CAPTCHA” is basically a test to tell human and bots apart. It is easy for humans to solve, but hard for “bots” and other malicious software to figure out. And with the invisible reCAPTCHA V3 we've implemented, your users don't even need to solve any tests, it happens automatically in the background.
Here is how you can set it up.
Step 1. Access the Integration Apps on the button of any contact form element in the Brizy builder
Step 2. Go to the RECAPTCHA tab and select reCAPTCHA.
Step 3. Here is where you'll need to input your reCAPTCHA Site Key and Secret Key.
Step 4. Go to Google reCAPTCHA and login into your Admin console in the top right. You'll need a Gmail account to be able to add reCAPTCHA on your website.
Step 5. Register a new site by filling in the form
The Label can be anything, it is used for internal use.
Step 6. The type needs to be reCAPTCHA v3. This is a must, other options will not work.
Important: If you don't select the v3, the reCAPTCHA will not work.
Step 7. Input your domain without any protocol, path, port, or query. For example: if the link to your website is https://www.domain.com/ you'll put www.domain.com in the domain field (no https://, no /).
If your website is on a subdomain, you need to include the subdomain as well like in the image below.
Step 8. Your gmail email will be a default Owner, you can add more if you want.
Step 9. Accept the terms and click Submit
Step 10. Once you press the Submit button you'll be redirected to your keys.
Step 11. Go to Settings, scroll down and turn OFF (deselect) this option:
Important: If you don't do it, reCAPTCHA will not work on your Brizy website.
Step 12. Copy/Paste the Keys into your Brizy integration window, check the box and press Continue.
Important: If you don't do Step 11, the reCAPTCHA will not work.
Step 13. Done, you've added reCAPTCHA on your website.
Keep in mind that you only need to set reCAPTCHA once, and you'll activate it globally on your domain. No matter how many contact forms you add from this point on, all will have reCAPTCHA by default.
Once someone will submit your contact form on the front end, Google's reCAPTCHA will work in the background analysing and protecting you from spam and abuse.
The reCAPTCHA badge will appear on the right hand side, near the form as you scroll.
