Automatic translations in Brizy Cloud are powered by Google. Brizy Cloud's automatic translations for all users were initially powered by a single API key. We now allow you to connect to Google's Cloud Translation service with your own API key in order to expand the number of free translations available to you. With this option, you can auto translate up to 500,000 characters per month. To utilize Google's free tier, add your own API key to your Brizy Cloud project, following the procedure below.
1. Access Google Cloud Console
Visit https://console.cloud.google.com/ and log in with your email address and password. Select the "Create Account" option at the bottom of the screen to create an account, if you don't already have one. You will automatically sign in if you are already logged in to your Gmail account.
2. Select a project
You will be greeted with a welcome screen once you sign in. Select the "Create or select a project" button.
Select an existing project or add a new project by clicking on the "New Project" button at the top right corner.
3. Enable Cloud Translation API
Search for "Cloud Translation API" at the search bar at the top and select the option "Cloud Translation API from the search results
Click on the "Enable" button to enable Cloud Translation API for your selected project
4. Add a Billing Account
Google requires you to add a "billing account" to your project before enabling the "Cloud Translation API" service. If you have not added a billing account yet, you will be prompted with a "Billing required" notification. Click on "Enable Billing" option. If already have a billing account and have verified your payment method, skip to Step 6.
If you do not have a billing account yet, you will see another notification "No active billing accounts". Select the "Manage Billing Accounts" option here.
To add a billing account, click on the "Create Account" button
and provide a name for your Billing account and select the "Continue" button.
5. Add a Payment Method
If you do not have a Payment Profile, kindly create one and add a Payment Method and click the "Submit And Enable Billing" button. Kindly validate your card by making a test transaction when prompted.
6. Generate the API Key
Once you have validated your card, you will be redirected to the "Cloud Translation API" homepage. Click on the "Manage" button
and select the "Credentials" menu on the left sidebar
Click on the "Create Credentials" option at the top and then the "API Key" option from the drop down list.
The API key will be generated. Click on the "copy" icon to copy the API key and select "Close"button to close the popup window.
7. Paste the API key
Now you can paste the API key in your Brizy Cloud project under CMS- Project Settings - Translate
