GDPR compliance Google Fonts (Local Hosting)

Hello,

I know this topic is not new to you, because I found two blog articles about it and a recent youtube video. All very confusing. In the blog articles there is no final solution to the problem. The youtube video is not that clear - I did understand that the external partner "Bunny Fonts" is now directly included (so i do not have to install/change anything?) - AND in the comments (2 weeks old from Phillip W) one colleague of yours is saying "Brizy version 2.4.6 is the last version with Google Fonts"... but my actual (!) version is saying 2.4.10... So where do I find versions above 2.4.6?

How is this possible? How can i fix the problem? Please help me.

    I already did include the font-files locally, as shown in your video. I also deleted every other font. Still it is connecting to the Google server and that's where we can get big problems here in Germany (GDPR / DSGVO). So as it seems to me, your solution is not fixing the problem.

    Hi Jan,

    A Brizy website can be configured so that no HTTP request is sent to external servers. Please take a look at my test website: https://gdpr.kctest.online. I tested it at https://sicher3.de/google-fonts-checker/ The document is below.

    Please check out the waterfall tab of this website's GT Metrix report. https://jmp.sh/oR1xUdF2 https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gdpr.kctest.online/tlniX6pj/ . You'll see that every request is internal.

    I wonder whether you accidentally chose the Google-hosted Titillium Web font as your default for https://coreen.com/ rather than the Titillium Local font. Please install the font locally once more, this time choosing Titillium Local as the default font, and then see if it makes a difference.

    Hi Jan,

    I have changed your theme to Twenty Twenty One. That helped get rid of the font requests going to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Here is the report. 

    The waterfall of your website's GT Metrix performance report also confirms the same. All HTTP requests are internal. https://gtmetrix.com/reports/coreen.com/LjwjQXlP/
