Problem with Custom Domain

    Hi Napoleon,

With Brizy Cloud, it is not possible to have naked domain format like https://domain.com. When you type this domain, it redirect to https://www.domain.com

The redirect should happen smoothly. If you are using Cloudflare DNS, please ensure that the DNS proxy is disabled for your domain records.

    Hi George,

Thank you for replying to me.

Yes, I didn't enable DNS proxy on Cloudflare.

But when I go to my site: domain.com or www.domain.com it shows a blank page.

(I published the site on Brizy.)

    Please help me.

    Thanks

I dont understand why it is NOT possible to have a naked domain?

    https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/7148254743569/comments/7173587637905

I dont like the fact it redirects to www.mydomain.com.

Any other hosting provider, naked domains are available by default. Why cant you change your CNAME record or something on your end to make this possible?

It is a simple default feature (not a fix or huge update) that comes with every hosting plan even bluehost (the worst of its kind).

How can I make it show my naked domain instead of the www?

Please advise is this very rudimentary and forcing Brizy cloud customers to use www is not the right approach to take!

    Hi Joseph,

Interestingly websites built using many cloud based builders have one thing in common; when accessing those websites using the naked domain, it redirects to its www version. Have a look at these examples.

    Wix

    Duda

    Webflow

I wonder too why this is a common occurrence among cloud based website builders.

Bluehost is a WordPress hosting provider. To publish websites using naked domains, the best option at the moment would be to develop websites using Brizy WP and host it on a WordPress host.
