"Redirects" feature doesn't work
Hi,
I set up some Redirects:
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
But when I try to go to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
the redirect didn't work. It goes back to the home page.
Please check and help me.
Thanks

Hi Nelea,
Yes, I know that.
As on my ticket, I set up the redirect on Settings in projects in Brizy cloud.
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
But when I try to go to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
the redirect didn't work. It goes back to the home page.
It didn't redirect to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
Please check and help me.
Thanks

Hi Napoleon,
In your example, you are attempting to redirect an existing URL to a non-existent URL which is not possible with Brizy Cloud
- Existing : /messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
- Non-existent : /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
The Redirect feature helps you to redirect a non-existent URL to an existing URL. Let's say you had a URL www.domain.com/about-us/ and this page was part of a advertisement campaign and many visitors are still looking for this link. You have changed the page slug to www.domain.com/team and you can setup a redirect like this
/about-us /team
This will redirect the non-existent URL /about-us to the existing URL /team.

Hi George,
No, that URL is an existing URL.
I used Quickblog(https://www.quickblog.co/) with Brizy cloud.
Please try to go to this link: https://marketingtool.brizy.site/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
It's available.
As on my ticket, I set up the redirect on Settings in projects in Brizy cloud.
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
But when I try to go to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
the redirect didn't work. It goes back to the home page.
It didn't redirect to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
Please check and help me.
Thanks

Hi George,
I thought that It can redirect to any link.
On another platform, when someone visits a link on their platform, it can point to any link.
Why did you force it to point to an only link on your platform?
It looks strict and not flexible.
Hard to create a blog post with Brizy cloud.
I need to work on another platform.
Please update this Redirects feature because another platform can't set up this on your platform.
Thanks

Hi Napoleon,
As Quickblog does not have a free version, I could not test if their blog redirect would work with Brizy Cloud.
I have attempted a redirect with ECWID. It seems to work fine with Brizy Cloud. The first URL seems to redirect to the second URL. Please check.
I used this redirect command.
/abc /#!/SAMPLE-Black-Tank/p/368148146/category=112847901
The redirect seems to work even with URL parameters.

Hi George,
Did you set up that command on ECWID? not Brizy Cloud "Redirect" setting?
On another platform, when someone visits a link on their platform, it can point to any link.
Thanks

Hi Napoleon,
I have added ECWID embed code to a Brizy Cloud project https://melon12275170.brizy.site/
Then added the redirect command in Brizy Cloud

Hi George,
I added QuickBlog embed code to Brizy Cloud project.
I added the same redirect command in Brizy Cloud.
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
But it didn't work.
Maybe due your Redirect setting force to go page on your platform. It's not flexible.
On another platform, when someone visits a link on their platform, it can point to any link.
Thanks

As you can see in my example above, the redirect seems to work fine with URL parameters.

They use: /abc /#!/SAMPLE-Black-Tank/p/368148146/category=112847901
I used: /messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
But they work, I didn't
https://marketingtool.brizy.site/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
so Why did this happen?
page /abc /#!/SAMPLE-Black-Tank/p/368148146/category=112847901 also doesn't available on Brizy cloud.
Thanks

When I try this:
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /#!/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
https://marketingtool.brizy.site/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
will redirect to https://marketingtool.brizy.site/#!/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
Maybe something was wrong when set up
/messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses

Hi George,
after try /messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /#!/groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
I set up it back again /messenger-bots-for-local-businesses /groupbuys?qb-b=messenger-bots-for-local-businesses
and stranger, it worked now.
I don't know why?
Maybe your system didn't save or something happened in the backend of your system.
Thanks
