    Hi Wayne,

I tried importing the 'Empire' and the 'Scooter Rental' starter templates. These seem to work fine at my end. I tried both on newly setup WordPress installations. My test sites:

    1. https://multisite.kctest.online/
    2. https://multisite.kctest.online/site1/

This may not be due to a generic issue.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

Can you please elaborate on "a generic issue"? Does this just mean these particular templates will remain unusable for me and I just avoid them?

Are you aware of anything specific to these starter templates when compared to others that do actually work fine for me, i.e. a particular type of element that is extremely resource hungry when compared to its counterparts? What I dont want is to think I am OK with one template because it installs and then when I come to maybe add that element I start to get problems.

There is obviously something comtained within these two templates (and possible more) that my setup does not like.

So far I have tried Supreme, Ekstra, Starter, Uplyft starter templates and they all install correctly without this error.

I see this post in this same forum references a similar problem experienced by a customer using the Workspace starter template.

    Kind regards

    Wayne

    Hi Wayne,

Starter Templates was introduced only few weeks ago and we are beginning to get feedback about this from users. Your and the other user are providing the first and second feedback. We don't have a lot of information about possible reasons why a particular template does not work in a specific WordPress environment.

If this was a generic issue for all users, there is nothing you could do to make it work and we need to fix the issue at our end. Since this is not a generic issue, there is a possibility that if you do some experiments, it may start working for you. For example, try setting up a completely new WordPress installation and see if you are able to import these two layouts. Or if you have a different hosting account, try importing these layout into that account.

"There is obviously something contained within these two templates (and possible more) that my setup does not like". As we develop clarity on what those factors are, we will have better answer to give you or suggest a better solution.

If you have finalized a specific starter template and you cannot install it, we will login to your WordPress Dashboard and help you install the specific template. Until then, see if you can pin point what is causing these two templates to break down.

What error do you receive when you are trying to use a template?  Please check these videos about how to do a template in Brizy Worpress :
