server sync permissions not working
Hi there,
I uploaded the brizy project files to a folder(/wow/crazy-design/) on my server according to this tutorial(Server Sync – Brizy Help Center), but when i visited the folder on the address bar, it's not working as expected, the message prompted:
array(1) { [0]=> object(Requirement)#6 (5) { ["fulfilled":"Requirement":private]=> bool(false) ["testMessage":"Requirement":private]=> string(28) "/ directory must be writable" ["helpText":"Requirement":private]=> string(88) "Change the permissions of either "/" directory so that the web server can write into it." ["helpHtml":"Requirement":private]=> string(105) "Change the permissions of either "/" directory so that the web server can write into it." ["optional":"Requirement":private]=> bool(false) } } array(0) { }
the link: https://www.shejipi.com/wow/crazy-design/
my guess is the server sync requests permissions for root folder, not the sub folder(/wow/crazy-design/).
I don't want to change the permissions of the root folder, is there a way to fix this?
thanks

Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
You should change the permissions of the root folder because if you don't change them it won't work. It is very important to follow all the steps from the article otherwise the sync process will not work.

Thank you for your quick response, but is it safe to set 775 for root folder?

Hi,
Yes, it is safe to set the root to the 775 folder, it is recommended to set it to the 775 or 755 files.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
