    I am having the exact same problem with contact form block. I have tried Gmail and SMTP. The form block says I have successfuly connected to Gmail but when I use the contact form live, I get "Message not sent" error. I have tried the duplicate idea you suggest above. Still same problem

    Hi Andrew,

    Could you please check this article regarding how to connect the form with Gmail? Did you follow all steps and recommendations from there? Please confirm you have added your Gmail username and password here: https://jmp.sh/W0WDEgX  Most often users miss this moment. Could you please confirm that you must have 2-step verification and a less secure app ON? Also, you must have an APP password and use this in place of your password for your GMAIL credentials on your contact form. Did you have done this step too? 

     In this post, you can find a similar problem and the fix that the user found.

    This is still not working. I did the less secure, two-step verify, APP password both in Gmail and SMTP- not working. This is way too complicated for a simple contact form. I’ve used other Wordpress Apps and had no problem with contact forms. There has to be simpler way to do this. Andrew

    I have the latest updates. I find the double authentication requirement for Google frustrating. I may have to direct the form data to Mailchimp. www.gsachurch.ca
