Brizy Editor cannot save changes – continuous autosave/revision conflict
Hello Brizy Support,
I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Brizy Editor and hope you can help me troubleshoot it.
Environment
-
WordPress: 7.0.1
-
Brizy: 2.8.17
-
Brizy Pro: 2.8.10
Problem
Whenever I edit a page with Brizy, I eventually receive the following message:
"This page needs to be refreshed. You probably updated this page (or another page) in another browser tab."
However:
-
I only have one browser tab open.
-
No other user is editing the page.
-
After this message appears, I am no longer able to save my changes.
When I compare the revisions, the only difference is the internal Brizy version number, for example:
version:1784202684
changes to
version:1784203033
There are no actual content changes.
WordPress continuously creates new autosaves although the page content has not changed, which eventually causes the editor to think that the page has been modified elsewhere.
Troubleshooting already performed
-
Only one browser tab is open.
-
Brizy and Brizy Pro are up to date.
-
I tested with all other plugins disabled, leaving only Brizy and Brizy Pro active.
-
The issue still occurs.
Could you please advise:
-
Is this a known issue?
-
Is there any known compatibility issue with WordPress 7.0.1?
-
Are there any debug steps or logs that would help identify the cause?
I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.
Thank you very much for your support.
Kind regards,
Jeremiah

Hi Jeremiah,
Thank you for reaching out.
Brizy is fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress, and we are not currently aware of any general compatibility issues with WordPress 7.0.1.
However, this is a known issue that can occur on some GoDaddy-hosted websites. It is commonly caused by server-side security restrictions, particularly ModSecurity, blocking or rejecting Brizy’s save requests. The repeated autosaves and internal version changes may be symptoms of the save request not completing successfully.
Could you please provide temporary WordPress administrator access so we can investigate the issue further? You can create a temporary administrator account and send the following details to communitysupport@brizy.io:
