Server Sync to a website WITHOUT SSL certificate possible? (payed Brizy cloud version)
Hi there. I managed to use server syc to one of my domains which has a SSL certificate. I just had to download the zip-file, change the .htaccess file as adviced in
https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360027008491-Server-Sync
upload it via FTP, call the URL in a browser: and voila, it works.
--------
But when I try with another of my domains which has NO SSL certificate it doesn't work.
I guess those 4 lines in the .htaccess file should be edited in another way, but how?
Please help. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
If you publish the Brizy Cloud site with the Server Sync method on an external host, then there you have to set-up the SSL certificate. The Brizy Cloud pages have the SSL certificate but if on the host you don't have this certificate, the Brizy Cloud pages will not have the HTTPS.
Also, the server sync "Golden Rule" is: Server Sync option is the last step in publishing a Brizy Cloud project. The entire server environment needs to be prepared (SSL certificate or the redirection option from non-www to www or any other actions with this folder) before uploading the Brizy folder. Thanks!

Hi Sandra,
thanks for your help! You wrote:

Well, for some non-commercial, not so important pages, I can accept having no SSL (SSL causes annuals costs).
When I tried to sync to one of my NON SLL secured domains the whole process did not work out. If I call the website via the browser, which would somehow start the installation process, I get some error message.
So how do I have to organize the sync process in order to sync to a website which has no SSL?
I guess the .htaccess file needs some editing (other than just removing the "#" at the beginning of the four lines of code, which is described at the above mentioned support page).
But I am not a programmer, so I need help, how those crucial four lines have to be edited. Can you please tell me how?
Thanks!

Hi,
Before uploading the Brizy project in the root/folder of your server, edit the httacess file only for www to non-www redirect rule. See here. Could you please try this?

Hi Sandra,
your link in "see here2" went to an error 404 page, but I grasped the idea, aaaaaand: it works!! GREAT!!
Thank you!
PS: for others who might also have this problem: only remove the "#" from the 2 lines in ection "redirect from non-www to www". Thats all.
