I'm having multiple issues with my Brizy site
Hi,
I don't see where the general theme options are now, like for for the menu header colour,
In themes it says "The Core Child is active", but am I mistaken that it used to say specifically the child theme I was using? I don't see that anywhere anymore as well.
The newer images I try to upload won't work, they upload to the media files itself fine, but when I select them, they don't work on the page builder.

Hi, Eli,
If you are using the Brizy builder for creating some new pages, the general theme options aren't applied there. If you want to use the theme header and footer on the Brizy pages, you can change the Page Template from Brizy template to Default template or Visual Builder Template https://jmp.sh/TxuUky6.
Regarding the images - could you please send us the URL of the page where we can check this problem?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Also, regarding images, could you please inform us when did you encounter this problem? What were your previous actions? Do you have the latest version for Brizy Free 2.0.13 and Brizy Pro 2.0.6? Do you have activated the CDN or proxy from the server?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
So when you say general theme options, that would include where I use to be able to select the colour for the header menu? I changed it to a green off colour while I was testing a while back, and now I don't see anywhere to make changes again (photo attached). Am I not wrong that there used to be a direct settings page to chose the different colours for the menu, links, etc?
The images aren't working for both sites that are hosted by Namecheap and have the most updated version of both Brizy free and pro. I'm not sure what you mean by "Do you have activated the CDN or proxy from the server?". With all of these issues (AGAIN WITH BRIZY, seems to be constant) I haven't made any changes to the settings, and it was working fine before the last few Brizy updates.

Another thing I noticed, that sometimes while highlighting certain sections on the page, Brizy would malfunction, and the page would reset to looking like the base theme as when it was installed. I have to leave the page without updating and re-open it for it to go back to normal.

Hi,
I checked the header and found that it isn't the Brizy header and added through the theme. If you want to change some heading settings, you have to access the theme options and from there change them. These options for theme's header can't be edited from Brizy.
Regarding images - yes, at the moment we have some problem with images for sites hosted on Namecheap. Our team are discussing and collaborating with Namecheap to fix this problem as soon as possible. When we will have some news from the team regarding this problem, we will inform you too.
Regarding this "sometimes while highlighting certain sections on the page, Brizy would malfunction" - could you please give us more details regarding what sections did you highlight and how do you make this? Could you send us a video with this?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
The fact is, the layout/child theme I'm using is from Brizy "Path Finder" https://demo.themefuse.com/?theme=the-pathfinder . Maybe it's one that originally came from Themefuse before you guys transferred me over to Brizy, but it's still from you. Those controls for the header menu were there before, that is how I changed the colour of the "How to get more sleep" to that green as you can see from the image 3 posts above. It's something to do with your updates that has corrupted the site, and once again it's looking like I'm going to be forced to do a rebuild, from your issues, which is ridiculous. You transferred my lifetime Themefuse account to a 2-year Brizy Pro, and so far for the majority of that time you've had me deal with nothing but issues which have cost me a significant amount of time.
So is that theme "Path Finder" not going to work properly anymore, am I forced to rebuild?
Since doing the latest updates (today) I haven't been able to duplicate the highlighting malfunction issue.

Hi,
Could you please check if you are using the page template - Brizy template https://jmp.sh/xwZhDX3? If you have the page template - default or Visual Page builder, then in your page the header and footer are coming from the theme. In this case, if you want to edit the header and footer from Brizy editor, I can recommend using the page template - Brizy template, and add the Header and Footer block in the page. These blocks you have to find here. After you will style the header and footer, you can apply it for all Brizy pages. For this, please see this video about Global Blocks and conditions.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Same thing with you guys every time, so you made a change so that the headers are now blocks, didn't tell anyone it was happening with the updates, which caused issues that take up peoples time... When are the image issues going to be resolved with Namecheap so I can actually work on my site and have it functioning?
0 -
Hi,
Header and footer - I'm sorry but from the beginning, in Brizy, the header and footer were blocks. It isn't a new Brizy update. See this article, please https://www.brizy.io/headers-footers/.
Images - we are still working with the Namecheap team to solve this problem. It is a complex issue and we need a bit more time to fix it. When we will receive some notifications regarding this problem we will inform you too.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Maybe they were blocks, fair enough, but working off a child template, it (the header menu) was already there, and the settings functioned differently for it, which somehow disappeared.
How sad is it that I am actually grateful that my site isn't up and running, because one of them is supposed to have daily updates, so you basically would have ruined my reputation.
You don't have an estimation of how long it will be until I am actually able to work on my sites?

Hi,
Brizy builder is another product of the ThemeFuse theme and it is different from The Core themes and Unyson. Since March 1, 2020, we cancelled the support for ThemeFuse themes and as a compensation for all our ThemeFuse users, we offered them, a license for 2 years of using our new product - Brizy Pro.
In Brizy, since December 6, 2018, we added the Header and Footer blocks, they are working as a block with some different and specific settings.
If you use in the Brizy pages, the theme header and footer, therefore, you can't edit it with the Brizy editor from Brizy builder. You have to edit it from Theme settings. Anyway, as I said before, I can recommend using the Brizy header and footer to be able to receive our full support on this element. Also, I recommended using the page template - the Brizy template. Now, could I ask you what is the problem? Could you please give us more details regarding the problem you encounter?Best regards,
Sandra0 -
I don't think it was fair compensation considering the amount of issues since the beginning. I paid for lifelong with one, and now I got a couple years with the other, which has been riddled with issues.
I no longer have an issue with the header setting, I will obviously just use the blocks now as you suggested. My issue is I can't do anything with new images for my sites, and they're stuck in limbo. You can close this if you want but I want to be notified when the Namecheap issue is resolved.

Yes, we will inform you here when we will solve the problem with images for sited hosted on Namecheap.
Let us know if we can help you with something else.Best regards,
Sandra0 -
If it is not fixed soon, who do I speak to about getting a refund? I can't go much longer without access to having functional sites to work on, they're supposed to be going live on a deadline, and if brizy is inhibiting that, I'd like a refund because I'm going to have to spend money elsewhere for something that will work.

Hi,
This problem isn't caused by Brizy, it is Namecheap's problem. We collaborate with them for this problem and they promise us that they will release the fix as soon as possible. We wait for this fix too. Could you please send us the URL link of the site you receive this problem? Namecheap informed us that they will add the fix on each domain, therefore we will create a list of the sites that has this problem and will send to them for solving.
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Ok, if that is the case, please disregard the last message, and if it's not resolved quickly I will be speaking with them.

I have a live site hosted on Easy WP and cannot add any new images, old images work fine. Is this also the Namecheap issue?
I was supposed to add new content (with images) to this company's page and now it makes me look bad.

Hi,
@Eli Miskin Thank you for the URL links. We will send the URL links you share us to the manager.
@Luka Petričević Is your hosting provider the NameCheap? At the moment we have this problem on sites hosted on NameCheap but the NameCheap's team promise us that they will release as soon as possible the fix for this problem, as the issue comes from their part. Could you please send us the URL link of the site you receive this problem? Namecheap informed us that they will add the fix on each domain, therefore we will create a list of the sites that has this problem and will send to them for solving.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0 -
" Is your hosting provider the NameCheap? "
Yes. EasyWP is a part of Namecheap.
"Could you please send us the URL link of the site you receive this problem?"

Thank you, Luka, for these details. We already added your URL link in the list we prepare for NameCheap.
Best regards,

I'm wondering why I just spoke with Namecheap support and they me "According to our information, there is no global issues with Brizy at the moment, but we will investigate the current issue properly in the ticket an update you as soon as there are any news/fixes. It will require some time, but your request is given the highest priority."

Hi Eli Miskin,
Thank you for your message. We are doing all the best to solve this problem as soon as possible but we wait for the fix from their part.
We suppose that the NameCheamp support theme doesn't know at the moment about this problem because we are discussing directly with one of the NameCheap team member from NameCheap Cloud on Slack.
Thanks!Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Well I honestly don't trust Brizy's effort, I haven't been given reason to.
I contacted Namecheap myself (like I said above), and I explained the problem, I told then the solution that worked for someone else (another post here), and it took them two days to get my site working again... Yet somehow you message me after that saying it's still being worked on.0 -
Hi Eli,
I think this is a joke, right? :)
The team spent a lot of time to fix this problem. Even if this is a Namecheap bug+brizy bug, we fixed the entire code and sent them a correct, new version. Right now we are waiting, the same as all other users. We spoke with Namecheap managers, they promised to release the fix as soon as possible.
If you don't believe it - it's your choice. We will continue our work.
Regards, Natalia

@Eli Miskin, so if I understood correctly, you got your site fixed?
Can you please share the solution?
0 -
No I do not think it is a joke of any fashion.
If you can't understand my reasons for being concerned with Brizy after the amount of issues I've been through with you, than you are being somewhat delusional.
My point is that you are saying you are waiting on Namecheap, but I contacted Namecheap support myself, I explained to them the situation, sent screen shots, told them about the other post in this Brizy community where someone found a fix for themselves and what it was, and just over 24 hours later they got my sites working. My sites have been functional for days now. My point is, that it was Namecheap who went above to get it fixed and get in contact with me about it, while when I asked them if they had a team working on the Brizy issue, I wss told that they couldn't find any information that there was a site wide issue while checking with other levels of support.
It's not the first time I've had problems with you guys not being able to connect the dots, and when it comes to a site not being functional for page updates for over 10 days.... That's nearing a point of critical failure.0 -
HI Luka, I couldn't tell you specifically how they fixed it, but if you want your site fixed, contact Namecheap yourself and explain the problem to them. They fixed my sites in just over 24 hours

Eli, take a deep breath, I am personally in contact with the top guys in charge of EasyWP on NameCheap side (Matt Russel, you can look up his name, I don't feel I need to prove anything, you can believe it or not). The support you might have talked to is not connected that high up to know what other tech teams are working on inside the company.
We are (well, they are) about to fix this across the board very soon for all our NameCheap customers. The issue is related to how their servers are set up, and some complex technical analysis is required before they push a change across all their servers to fix this. They can do it instanced for individual customers if you contact them like you did but pushing a change like that across the whole infrastructure is not something you can do without carefully considering the implications.
Another important point I'd like to make is that this is a 100% on NameCheap side on how their servers are set up to worked with cached images. You can be as upset as you like with us and Brizy and we are prepared to give you a full refund right now if you want, but it's not our fault not one bit, I'm sorry but that is the truth. Brizy works with all the other major hosting companies out there.
Most companies will tell you to change the hosting and be done with it. We are doing our best and go the extra mile to try to fix this and please keep in mind that NameCheap is not our company to just get access and start changing server options, they are a corporate structure, we ask them nicely, they reply, etc. in other words, the fix will be on when (AND IF) they decide to do it. We don't have any say in it, but we are working closely with them to make it happen.
I promise you the whole team here is doing its best. If that is not enough for you, we are happy to give you a full refund, but again this specific NameCheap image issue is not on Brizy's side.
I hope this gives some insight.
I wish you all the best.
Dimi,
Brizy co-founder

Dimi, I'm quite fine with my breathing, thanks for your concern.
Fair enough, this could be %100 Namecheap's issue (I'm not saying it isn't), but the same can't be said for the plethora of issues I've dealt with in Brizy's case, which is why I have inflated reactions when things stop working properly. Don't get me wrong, I do not want to be against Brizy whatsoever, when I first found it, I touted it and recommended it to people, unfortunately that is no longer the case and I couldn't do that in good conscious because I feel like I would be setting people up to deal with hassles they wouldn't be expecting.
I've dealt enough with larger corporations, so I do know how difficult a process it can be to get things done with them. However, like you said, if they are able to fix an individual account by that individual contacting their support, you don't feel your advice to people should be to contact them themselves (which is not being done in this post or others)? Instead when you say you will take down the urls to get it taken care of, you are taking on the responsibility of that slow service, and for people unable to do something as simple as add and change images for weeks which could have dire consequences to them running their website/business, it remains unacceptable.
I'm not asking for a full refund, but understand I paid for a lifetime service through one of your partitions, had it switched over to Brizy pro for 2 years, and ever since the original time of subscribing I have lost countless hours to issues and having in some cases having to find my own work arounds.
I think Brizy could be known as a top WordPress building platform, and maybe it will be when things get tightened up, but that doesn't change my unfortunate experiences with it.0 -
Is there still no solution for this issue?
It has been more than two months now.
This is not acceptable.
