Brizy Pro: Templates not working
I've setup a template for my blog posts and set the condition to display for all blog posts. However, when I view a blog post it is not using any of the template.
I've deleted the template and tried creating a new one. This one also doesn't work but much worse.... If I add a "blog title" or "post content" element to the page it instantly disappears and is no longer visible in the GUI.
This happens every time and appears to apply to any element that uses a shortcode. So, for example, if I tried adding comments to a blog post or a brizy template the element instantly vanishes after being placed on the page.
This is now quite a serious issue as I was due to hand this site over to the client on Friday 2nd October.
I recently changed the domain name of the site but I cannot say whether this issue started before or after this. So the domain change may or may not be relevant.
I'd appreciate your prompt assistance on this as I have now all but given up on Brizy being a viable tool.
Thanks
Phill

Hi, Phill,
Could you please send us a screenshot or a screen video with how is looking the template in editor mode and how it is looking in the preview mode?
Also, could you please make sure that none of the blog posts isn't edited with Brizy? If you set a Brizy template for all blog posts then all blog post should be created and edited with default WP editor. Also, please check if you have the latest versions of Brizy Free 2.0.13 and Brizy Pro 2.0.6.
Thanks!

I had to manually search and replace the old domain with the new one directly in MySQL DB to get it to work. There were more than 200 meta data entries relating to Brizy where the old url was referenced instead of the new one. Once I updated all of these the templates began working properly.

We should never have to touch metadata on WordPress though. This is another serious issue with Brizy that needs addressing.

I moved my site from dev to live and that required a domain change using Velvet Blues (WP Plugin for changing domains). However, as stated above, numerous Brizy features were not working. In particular I was unable to create a Brizy Template for my blog posts. Anytime I tried to add an element such as "Post Title" or "Post Content" or "Comments" these elements would just disappear no matter how many times I tried adding them.
So, I then went into MyPHPAdmin and replaced all instances of the old site domain/ur with the new domain. The only instances found were all in metadata. With any other page builder it is usually only necessary to use Velvet Blues to change the site domain. Users should never need to edit metadata.
I can find no more references to the old domain anywhere in the database, however I am still unable to use Brizy comments on the site, and I have opened a seperate ticket for this.
