    Hi, Phil,

Could you please send us a screenshot or a video that will show us the problem you encounter? I tried to reproduce it but all is working fine. See here https://jmp.sh/LWzzomk.

Could you please check if you have the latest versions for Brizy free 2.0.13 and Brizy Pro 2.0.6? If you deactivate all external plugins and activate a WP default theme is all working fine?

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Here's a video of what happens: https://youtu.be/aG165DUdbqg

This happens even when I use the 2020 theme and deactivate all plugins except for Brizy and Brizy Pro.

I suspect that this may be due to the fact that I used Velvet Blues to change my site domain from production to live. After doing this many Brizy functions stopped working. I managed to fix them by replacing using phpmyadmin to replace all references to the old domain that were left in the meta data.

Now everything except for comments works, but I cannot find any more references to the old site domain.

We shouldn't have to touch meta data inorder to simply change a site domain when moving a site to production.

Anyway, my client is getting impatient about the site launch and so I really need this to work asap..

    Thanks.

Yes, in this case, the metadata should not be changed. Also, we recommend to add the links of the site using the short form "/page-1" and not the long-form where you indicate the full URL link  "domain.com/page-1" because it will be interpreted as "hardcoded" and will not be possible to change on the site migration. If you find these problems after the site migration, I can recommend trying to migrate the site again. It will not be so much time consuming as solving these problems. For site migration, we recommend using the All in One Migration plugin. It copies all files and directories and doesn't create some inconveniences.

Regarding the comment section - here, I can also recommend checking if you allow users to leave a comment https://jmp.sh/UWXsmCb

    Thanks!

    1) I really don't what you are saying about page links. Nothing in my video shows adding links anyway.

    2) I don't "migrate" the site. I simply updated the site url since it was initially on a generic subdomain. In order to make the site live the domain had to be updated to use the clients preferred business related domain name.

    3) All in One Migration cannot be used to simply update a domain name. It is used for moving a site from one hosting package to another as far as I am aware.

    4) Since I did not "migrate" the site I cannot "migrate it again". The files & DB are the ones I have now, there is no "pre-migration" vversion of the site that exists.

When you change the domain name, it is calling "Migrating site process" https://www.contentkingapp.com/academy/website-migrations/
Migrate the site, it isn't only when you change the hosting. Also, changing the domain name it isn't a simple act. Here, you can find a good article on this topic https://wpengine.com/resources/change-domains-wordpress/.
You said that you changed the metadata to change the site domain, therefore it is related to the links from the site. And this isn't related with Brizy. For this reason, I said to you about the page links.

This is the same reason why I recommended the All in One Migration plugin, but if you prefer the Velvet Blues plugin, then I want to say that you can use it after you will migrate the site from domain X to domain Y. It is a plugin that helps users to update URL after moving a site. See this article https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-update-urls-when-moving-your-wordpress-site/.

I did use Velvet Blues. I mentioned this several times already.

After using Velvet Blues the templating functions didn't work!!

I changed "myolddomain.com" in the database manually (via PhpMyAdmin) to "mynewdomain.de" using a simple string replacement function. Therefore I didn'T change any links that weren't "hardcoded". This was the only way to get some of the templating functions to work since you offered no solution.

Phill, I would love to help but this is not a Brizy related question. The articles I share to you in the previous comment would help you to solve the problems you encounter.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

How is this not a Brizy question?

I changed the domain for my site using Velvet Blues (as I have done before with 50+ none-Brizy sites) and never had a problem. However, I did this with a site that uses Brizy Pro and now that site does not work!

The only part of the site that does not work is the Brizy Page Builder! I add Brizy elements to the page and then they disappear!

How is that not a Brizy related issue??

Ps. The link you mentioned above does not work!

This problem is related to the plugin you used for changing the URL and the method you used for changing URL/domain. I suggest to consult these articles:

    https://www.contentkingapp.com/academy/website-migrations/

    https://wpengine.com/resources/change-domains-wordpress/

    https://wpengine.com/resources/change-domains-wordpress/

I already updated the link. You can check from there or from here.

I have "migrated" many site as it forms a necessary part of our workflow for every client site that we publish in our development agency (we specialise in WP) and have never had an issue with an sites other than using Brizy.

In the interests of hopefully getting somewhere with this issue, I have "migrated" the site many times using various tools including "All in one importer" and "Velvet Blues". In all cases the issue persists, we can get the comments element to work on any page created with Brizy or Brizy Pro.

WordPRess comments are enabled and the site settings are all exactly the same as those shown in your screenshot. Again, we have never had any issues with comments o any websites except for this one which uses Brizy Pro.

Therefore, the issue most definitely is due to a problem directly related to Brizy / Brizy Pro.

    Thanks!

I've imported content from an old Wordpress blog and an old Weebly blog into a new Wordpress site and find that the Brizy blog post template is completely non-functional. It continues to default to the theme post style rather than the Brizy template no matter what I do. The template builder is unable to detect any content from my posts. For some reason, the "Posts" element in the page builder does work, and detects post elements no problem. Was this issue ever resolved?
