recaptcha invisible issue
Hi Brizy team
I setup Recaptcha invisible a few weeks ago and everything seems fine except for killing the site speed,
However that's a side issue, now captcha image selection box began loading on the home page and you have to go through 2 sets of selecting images before it goes.
I tested the site in chrome and firefox its the same and it even loads in GTmatrix site speed test image
The only solution I could find was to remove Recaptcha
Would this be a Brizy form issue or other?
Regards
Haydn

Hi Haydn,
We use Google's reCaptcha so we don't have much to do with it. I found an article with a similar problem and it seems that this really influences the speed. But, as I said, this is a Google plugin and we don't have much to do in this regard. So, if you are familiar with the code you could go deeper into this problem and if you find any solution I will be happy to hear about it here :).

Hi,
I was going to open a new post about this but while typing the subject this post was suggested.
I recently synced a website from Brizy cloud to my hosting provider. After doing so, I proceeded to enable the integration for recaptcha and hit update... Looooong story short, I woke next day and the synchronization had successfully finished.
But, with regards to this specific post I'm having now the same behavior described by Haydn, not concerned with the speed part for now so just ignore that. What I find confusing is this: "we don't have much to do with it". I mean, you do realize that if there's not even a form at the home page(at least not on the page itself) and a captcha pops up instantly when I go in then "something" is not playing nice with "something".
There are a couple things happening in that page for sure: a popup triggered on leave and after 60 seconds of inactivity has been configured for the site via Brizy's popup functionality. This popup IS a form, but this behavior keeps happening even though the popup is configured to run only once. Another suspect for me with regards to this odd behavior is that this site uses CloudFlare for security, CDN, and SSL purposes. Just mentioned all this in case it could have any relevance.
For now, it seems Haydn's solution might end up being mine.

Hi Jose,
"we don't have much to do with it" with reference to recaptcha and speed. But, if Recaptcha opens on the page instantly and without being activated from the form, then that's strange and we need to look into it. Can we check this on your website? Is it live? I can't access the get-panama.com link now.

Hi Alex,
Last night I went into the Popup setup and clicked on the option to disconnect reCaptcha and then pressed 'Update'. Today, the website is still not accessible, showing an error message on my side and then "Synchronization in processing. It can take some time..." when I insist.
This is why I previously described the process to enable reCaptcha as a long story, it would seem each time I hit update, even if it's a minor change, the synchronization process starts doing something that takes a long time and considering it initially gets started by just browsing into the page I wonder if hitting refresh restarts the process.
Edit: The site just came back up. With no reCaptcha, as per last night's update.

Hi,
Can you please activate reCaptcha so we can see the problem on your website? Once we have the problem we could find the cause and then provide a fix.

Hi,
I'd gladly do that to help find out what's going on, but... every time I hit the "Update" button at the Brizy Cloud Builder my site goes offline for about ~12 hours while it syncs?
Updates were practically instantaneous before publishing to my hosting provider with the Sync option. That is, when it was only on the brizy dot site domain.
The original poster also reported the same behavior, there might be others having the issue or it could be reproducible. For now, I prefer having the site online rather than activating reCaptcha.
Thanks for your support anyway.

okay, I will create an internal issue with this problem and we will try to reproduce it.

Regarding the server sync update: this should be discussed with the hosting provider. It usually takes about 10 minutes. You may need to remove the cache. Try to remove the var folder and check again.

Alex,
Yes, there are several variables in play there and my hosting provider is definitely one of those. Here is some more info to consider:
- GoDaddy is the hosting provider
- Before hitting Update on Brizy Cloud, Cloudflare was set on Development Mode in order to disable CDN(Cache) temporarily and Cache was purged
- I'll try a simple text modification this weekend, check out the var folder removal suggestion before committing the Update, and report back
Thanks for your support.

Hi,
Tried the var folder deletion, after deactivating and purging the cache at CF, then made the text edit on a page and 3 hours passed with the site not working and attempting to populate the address bar with install_step_1 when I tried to access it.
So, I recovered the deleted var folder from the trash and hit update on Brizy once again. Next day, page was available.
The page is pretty much static. I'll give it sometime and bring up the behavior to the hosting provider later down the road of development.
Best Regards.

This is a strange behavior of the Server Sync option. Before proceeding to inspect the problem, please confirm that you have not changed anything in the .htaacces file and that you do not have an external code in the Injection Code.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the prompt response. I can confirm that both of those subjects are true. There are .htaccess entries for http to https and non-www to www redirection and a single snippet of injection code for google analytics.

okay, I created a private ticket for you and soon one of my colleagues will contact you for more information.

Hi, I have the same issue. I setup ReCaptcha as described on this link: https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360043630952-reCAPTCHA. Since then, a popup window asking me questions appears from time to time on my website. See attachment. It usually occurs on the Destinations pages where I have a pop up with ReCaptcha. You can browse my site www.meetafrica.travel. Thanks for your help.
activated.

Hi,
Are there specific conditions in which we can see the problem? Does it happen in a certain browser? I checked your pages a few times, but I didn't get any Recaptcha pop-ups.
btw: can you please confirm you have the latest Brizy versions - Free 2.0.7 and PRO 2.0.4? Also, please disable all external plugins and check again.

Hello,
It's not happening on my site anymore. Perhaps it was fixed after the update. Thanks again your all your help and great work.
Cheers,
Michael

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your response. I am using Chrome and Brizy and Brizy pro are up to date. The problem still exists. The pop up appears randomly after I navigate on the website for a while.

I still can't reproduce this on your site. I analyzed your site for a while but the Recaptcha pop-up did not appear. Did you check this on a different browser or in incognito mode? Do you have the same problem?

Hi,
Is ReCaptcha activated on the site now? I just checked it, but no form of verification appears.
btw: please confirm you have this issue with the latest Brizy versions - Free 2.1.5 and PRO 2.1.3

Thank you Alex. The update did help.
Just one more, for some reason reCaptcha icon in the corner gets behind some of the block in the Russian version on of the page.
I had the same problem for the English version. I set Z-index to zero and it did help, but it does not work for the Russian version. Could you assist, please.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I'm not sure why this happens in the Russian version and given that the sections are the same, but try using the following CSS code and this will be fixed:
.brz-g-recaptcha {
z-index: 9;
}0 -
Hi Alex,
It didn't help. Now another section gets blocked.

from what I see the CSS code was not applied: https://jmp.sh/bZMe2LT So it may be caching or trying to add !important.

Thanks, but unfortunately it is the same. Is there a way to hide it completely?

You can try to do this with CSS. Please refer to this discussion: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44543157/how-to-hide-the-google-invisible-recaptcha-badge

Splendid! Thank you Alex.

I saw that you managed to hide the reCaptcha on your site. Great!
