How to get SSL
Hi,
How do I get SSL on Brizy.cloud?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi,
I think that the easiest way is to add your domain on the cloudflare. There you have SSL by default so when you connect domain to one of your sites on brizy, it will be secured.

Hi Tom,
We provide SSL certificates for custom domains and for Brizy subdomains. The certificate is activated immediately after the page is published.
This option is not available for HTML export option and sync server option so you will need to purchase SSL separately and install it on your server.

Hey Alex,
I just published my site and it doesn't have a certificate. Its saying that my site isn't safe. How can i get an SSL certificate on there?
I have a custom domain, i'm not using the HTML export option

Hi Chantelle,
do you still have the same message? It takes about 20 minutes until the SSL certificate is applied.
1 -
I already waited for 20 minutes, but it still says un secure.

Hey Alex,
the SSL did appear after 20 mins, thank you so much!

It didn't happen. I am seeing you added a new A record, maybe is this.

Hi,
Please check your email. You have a message from my colleague Natalia.

Does the ssl approval on a newly published domain take time?
As our domain is published but the SSL is not showing up yet!

Yes, you have to wait some time. If all goes well with DNS settings, it will apply in about 20 minutes. If the domain has many DNS fails this time increases to a day or two.
Also, please make sure you have added the cname record and A record.

Just to add my experience. After adding the CNAME and A record, took about 15 minutes for HTTPS to appear. Was automatic. Very smooth. I can see how that might catch people out, but just a short wait. Worked well

That's because you did everything right. This usually happens if all is well. Sometimes there are some DNS errors and it takes longer.

Hope so! Great support forum. You get to learn from others too

Hello. I have added my domain via CNAME 2 days ago but SSL is still not activated. Previously, I didn't have to set up A records for www domains, just CNAMEs. A Records was previously for domains mapped without www.
But now, why does www domains mapped via CNAME don't get SSL? I cannot put A record because my DNS already has an A record mapped for the @. Please revert back to the setting where we only need a CNAME mapping. It was also what is reflected in the tutorials. Look:

Hi,
Changes were made to the Brizy Cloud and A record was one of the most requested features.
Now, to apply SSL, you must add both: cname and A record. If you can't see the A record option in the Brizy Cloud, you need to clear your browser cache and check again.

I am using a Custom Domain - registrar is Namecheap. I have bought SSL on namecheap and applied to the domain.
Brizy cloud site is live on www.apexloftsbirmingham.co.uk
But still cant get the site to show up as secure with "https" in the browser.
DNS settings have been changed - please review the screenshot here and let me know if I need to change or add any records. https://tinyurl.com/tgwurj5
thanks

Hi Patrick,
Please refer to this screenshot: https://jmp.sh/fGoqh2s You need to remove the redirect record and add @ instead of the domain name.

I am having difficulties too. I have set up the records in Cloudflare but when I replace the domain to @ in the A record, it automatically adds it back in.
The only way I can get Brizy Cloud to work with Cloudflare is if I remove the proxy from both the A record and the CNAME. However isn't that pointless if the idea is to go via Cloudflare to disguise the IP?
Any ides?

Hi,
As mentioned in this post, Brizy Cloud will only work with disabled proxy on Cloudflare.
0 -
Thanks @Alex....that post only mentions the CNAME being grey-clouded (ie not proxied)....is that the same for the A record or can that one still be proxied?
0 -
yes, this should be disabled for both: CNAME and A.
btw: this is a temporary workaround. We will make improvements on the way and you will be able to use this option on Cloudflare.

Hi, I did a custom domain publishing for a client's landing page, it's been almost 3 days now and it's still showing up as insecure, I've added both CNAME and A record and it showed up as correctly set, what am I missing? What else should I do??

Hi,
From what I see you have two A records. You need to remove the second record you have so that you only have the one pointing to your cloud IP.

How to get SSL in Brizy cloud

I am using custom domain but don't have SSL installed...........pls install for safety

Hello!
The SSL certificate is generated in a couple of minutes after a full propagation for both CNAME and A records.
@Gurpreet - your A record is not connected. Please, follow these instructions https://bit.ly/3cAUK2S Your A record is not pointed to our IP.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Regards, Natalia
