Brizy update breaking frontend CSS (invalid stylesheet URL /404-2/)
Hi Brizy team,
After updating Brizy and Brizy Pro via ManageWP (Brizy 2.7.24 → 2.8.12, Brizy Pro 2.7.17 → 2.8.6), the frontend of the site broke.
The issue:
-
The homepage loads, but styling is broken
-
Console shows a mixed content error
-
A stylesheet is being loaded from an invalid URL:
http://kcexteriorpros.com/404-2/
Example error:
“Mixed Content: The page was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet … /404-2/”
Notes:
-
The page looks correct inside the Brizy editor
-
Issue only affects the live frontend
-
Reverting to a backup (pre-update) resolves the issue immediately
-
No changes were made besides plugin/theme updates
This suggests the update is generating an incorrect CSS asset URL or failing to build frontend CSS properly.
Can you advise:
-
What might cause a stylesheet to point to a page URL like
/404-2/? -
Any known issues with CSS generation or asset paths in the latest version?
-
Recommended fix or patch?
Happy to provide access or further debugging info if needed.
