Popup overlay appears, but popup content does not load

Hello Brizy Support team,

I’m experiencing an issue with a popup on my homepage and I was hoping you could help me look into it.

The popup is set to appear automatically after 2 seconds. However, what happens instead is that the screen turns dark, as if the popup background overlay is loading, and the hero section gets covered, but the actual popup content itself does not appear.

So in short:

• The overlay/background of the popup loads

• The popup content does not show up

• This happens consistently on the homepage

I’ve checked the popup settings and trigger conditions, and everything seems to be configured correctly on my end.

Could you please help me investigate what might be causing this, or let me know what additional information you need from me to debug this issue?

  Hi Mieke,

  Thank you for your patience.

  Upon checking, the issue is caused by a conflict with the Autoptimize plugin. When disabled, the issue no longer occurs - https://youtu.be/59ismx1b1PI

  Since you already have WP-Optimize and ShortPixel active, Autoptimize isn’t needed, as those plugins already cover similar optimization features.

  Running multiple optimization plugins at the same time can cause conflicts, broken layouts, or script issues. Keeping just one setup helps maintain better stability and performance.
