Action required: Mandatory IPv6 / AAAA record for .ch domain
Hi everyone,
We received the following notice regarding our domain registration. Could you please check if this is possible for our setup and let me know how I should proceed?
"The Swiss registry for .ch domains, SWITCH, will require both the responsible DNS servers and the domain itself (apex) to have a valid DNS AAAA record as of January 1, 2026, for the proper and secure operation of a .ch or .li domain, provided that an IPv4 DNS A record is published for them.
The inclusion of such a DNS AAAA record is therefore urgently necessary to ensure the accessibility of your services via the modern IPv6 protocol. We recommend that you check with the operator of the respective target system (i.e., where your services are actually hosted) whether an IPv6 address is available for your domain. If so, please add this IPv6 address as a DNS AAAA record at the external nameserver responsible for your domain(s) as soon as possible."
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
At the moment, Brizy Cloud supports IPv4 only and requires domains to be pointed using an A record. We intentionally recommend removing AAAA records, as Brizy Cloud does not yet provide an IPv6 address, and adding one without proper IPv6 support could cause accessibility issues.
About the SWITCH message for .ch / .li domains, this is a forward-looking IPv6 readiness requirement and is not currently enforced in a way that affects IPv4-only websites. Your domain will continue to work normally with an A record–only setup. Once Brizy Cloud adds IPv6 support in the future, we’ll be happy to advise on updating the DNS accordingly.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Ariel H.0
