Brizy cloud site downtime - too much

Website constantly going down over the last few days. Is there any reason I am seeing this happen? I have been monitoring this as I get so many emails of it down and not accessible.

  Hello Ciaran,

  We apologize for the inconvenience. A DDoS attack impacted Brizy Cloud services, and during this time, some Cloud websites went down. Now this attack has been stopped and all of Brizy Cloud services are up and running again.

  Please could you have a look into why my site is still getting a lot of downtime. This has been going on now for over a few weeks. I have logs to show it is going up and down so many times now and have never had this in the past.

  Hello Ciaran,

  For your domain name to correctly resolve to your Brizy Cloud project, it must point solely to the Brizy Cloud webserver with IP 34.237.47.210 and no other external servers. Your domain points to an external server with the IP 67.219.104.17. Hence it will occasionally resolve correctly and other times fail because it points to the incorrect server.

  To fix the issue, kindly delete the A Record with the IP 67.219.104.17

  Hi George, I am having some issues now that I removed the other A record on my CloudPanel. Let's Encript is needing to have an A record pointing to the IP 67.219.104.17.
  
  My install is as follows:

  Vultr is my VPS

  CloudPanel is the server management which takes care of SSL (Let's Encrypt Certificate) and mail server of MailCow.
  
  Is there another way I can do this? I am currently managing the DNS in CloudPanel

  Hello Ciaran,

  Are you wanting to host your website https://www.anounceoflight.com/ on your Vultr server and manage SSL on CloudPanel? This is possible. Broadly you have these two options for hosting your website.

  • Host with Brizy Cloud: You add the custom domain to Brizy Cloud and add appropriate A Record and CNAME record to point your domain name to your Brizy Cloud project. SSL is provided by Brizy Cloud. You must delete the additional IP added to your domain.
    
  • Host with Vultr VPS: You have the option to host the above website with a Vultr VPS using the "Server Sync" publishing option. Kindly follow the procedure at https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360027008491-Server-Sync  Install the SSL on the Vultr server for the domain and manage your hosting with CloudPanel.

  Please let me know if you have more questions.

  Hi George,

  Thanks again for your help. I’d like to clarify my setup and the issue I’m facing with SSL:

  I’m continuing to host the website through Brizy Cloud, and the SSL for the site itself is working well via Brizy. That part is resolved and I’m happy with it.

  The issue is with the mail domain, which is managed entirely in CloudPanel. I’m specifically trying to use CloudPanel’s automated Let's Encrypt SSL certificate function for the mail domain — mainly because it’s free and integrated into the platform. However, CloudPanel requires the A record to point to 67.219.104.17 in order to issue the certificate.

  Here’s what I tried:

  The domain is registered with Crazy Domains, and I updated the A record there to 34.237.47.210 for Brizy.

  Then I updated the A record in Vultr (where I manage DNS) to 67.219.104.17, hoping that would allow CloudPanel to issue the SSL certificate.

  But as you originally pointed out, having both A records creates a conflict — and the site started experiencing frequent downtime.

  So to summarize:

  I want to keep the website hosted with Brizy and continue using their SSL for the site.

  I also want to use CloudPanel’s free automated SSL certificate for the mail domain.

  But I’m stuck because CloudPanel won’t issue the certificate unless the A record points to its IP, which breaks the Brizy setup.

  I’ll revert the A record back to 34.237.47.210 to restore website stability. But is there a way to configure DNS so that CloudPanel can still issue the SSL for the mail domain without affecting the Brizy-hosted website?

  Hello Ciaran,

  You have added two MX Record to your domain. Since you are hosting email server with mail.anounceoflight.com, kindly remove the first record pointing to anounceoflight.com and check if it helps to resove the issue you are facing with the SSL
