Site is very slow - pgaes taking at least 30 seconds to load.

Hi Brizy Support,

I’m reaching out regarding an issue with a website I’ve built using Brizy. The site is running very slow across all devices — even on pages that are very basic, like the contact page with just text and a form. The speed issue is especially noticeable on mobile. 

I’ve tested this on multiple devices (inlcuding mine and the clients) and the experience is consistently slow throughout the site, regardless of the page content.

I’ve built this for a client, and unfortunately, they’re not impressed due to the performance. Could you please help me look into this and advise on how to rectify the issue?

  Hello Yusuf,

  The primary reason for slow speed of your website are the video embeds and heavy images uploaded to most pages. The page https://www.dentalsleep.co.uk/order-mandibular-advancement-device does not have video embeds or images and it loads quite fast. Have a look at https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.dentalsleep.co.uk/c5520dYv/ for the GT Metrix performance report of this page.
   

  Embedding videos to a page can significantly slow down page load times because large video files increase page weight and require more bandwidth, leading to longer download times and potentially impacting user experience. To improve page speed for pages with videos, kindly add a video cover image to each video. You can grab the thumbnail image added to the YouTube video from https://youtube-thumbnail-grabber.com/ 

  

  You have uploaded stock images and screenshots of 2-4 GB to your website. Kindly use a service like https://tinypng.com/ to compress these images to 200-400 KB files and reupload. If you are displaying the images in smaller than the original, please resize images to a smaller size at https://bulkresizephotos.com/ and reupload. Here are a few examples of images of 2-4 GB in size. Converting PNG to JPG also helps to reduce image size.

  Hi George,
  
  Thank you so much for your response - I'll be making these changes this weekend.
  If possible could you provide me with some additional guidance in terms of SEO optimisation - I have used Brizy's in built tools however the website seems to not appear on google search results - I have checked that it is indexed using the Google Search Console and it appears if site:dentalsleep.co.uk is used however I was expecting it to appear when searching for dental sleep or South Wales Dental Sleep or SWDS.
  
  I would be very grateful if you could provide me with some advice on this.
