    Hi Susanne,

    Thank you for reaching out.

This issue often happens on sites using Wordfence or similar security plugins. Disabling the firewall or setting it to learning mode can usually resolve the problem. More information is available here: https://help.elegantthemes.com/en/articles/2395855-how-to-fix-saving-issues-while-wordfence-plugin-is-enabled.

If that doesn’t help, try disabling all plugins except Brizy and Brizy Pro to check for a conflict. If this resolves the issue, re-enable plugins one by one while testing to identify which one might be causing the conflict.

Additionally, please update these settings in your php.ini file, or ask your hosting provider for assistance:

    max_execution_time: 300
    max_input_vars: 6000
    memory_limit: 512M (or higher)
    post_max_size: 128M
    upload_max_filesize: 128M

If you have cPanel access, go to "Select PHP Version," click on the "Options" tab, and you should be able to adjust these settings there.

If the issue persists, could you please provide us with temporary WP Admin access so we can investigate further? Add us as an Admin user and send these details to communitysupport@brizy.io:

    WordPress Admin URL
    Username
    Password

Additionally, we will also need temporary access to FTP/cPanel:
    FTP / cPanel host address:
    Username:
    Password:

Please make a full backup of your site as a precaution.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

Thank you so much Ariel! I sent you the Wordpress credentials this afternoon. It looks like my provider does not grant access to the php.ini file. I sent you my ssh and ftp credentials also via Mail. Lets see if you can do something. I already tried updating the variables in the htaccess file.

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecRequestBodyLimit 4194304
    SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit 2097152
    </IfModule>

    Hi Susanne,

Thank you for your cooperation. We inspected your site, unfortunately, we were unable to resolve the issue on our end. It seems that ModSecurity is blocking certain requests, which is affecting Brizy when editing a page. This can occasionally happen if ModSecurity mistakenly identifies Brizy actions as potential threats.

I recommend reaching out to your hosting provider and ask them to review the ModSecurity logs for any blocked requests related to Brizy and whitelist the necessary rules to enable editing. Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

Additionally, I’ve asked one of my colleagues to review the issue and see if they can offer any further assistance or insights.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

The Host says there are no possibilities with ModSecurity to whitelist a plugin.

Can I try to delete specific elements like the menu from the database. I have a feeling the mistakes comes from the global menu bar??

The issue occured after editing the global menu bar element

    Hi Sussane,

    Thank you for the update.

You should be able to make changes to your pages using older versions. You can download them here.

After installing these versions, remove the global headers and save your changes. Then, update both Brizy and Brizy Pro to the latest versions and check if you can edit the pages without the global header and footer. If everything works, you can then rebuild the headers and footers.

Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.
