Glonal header and footers disapear
Hi there,
Since the latest update of Brizy Glonal header and footers disapear.
To fix this we had to open the global element and save it. The global areas (header and footer etc) then reappeared.
Not sure if it's a bug but thought you might want to know.
Thanks,
Darren

I had both the same problem and the same experience with the solution recommended above, but with 60 Brizy sites to now fix, this is quite the inconvenience.

Hi Michael,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Our developers are aware of this issue and are working to address it as soon as possible.

Me too ...
It appears to just be on the home pages - about us and services pages for various sites are working fine?!
please let us know as soon as the problem is resolved and if we need to do anything to sort this

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for contacting us.
To address the issue, you can try making minor tweaks to the global header and footer, like adding a period or some extra letters. Save the changes, update the page, then revert the modifications. Finally, preview the site to see if this resolves the issue.
If the issue continues, this is something we need to inspect from your WP Admin page. Please add us as an Admin user to your WordPress Dashboard and send the following details to: communitysupport@brizy.io

I have also found that this latest update has again created a conflict with WPMUDEV compression plugins:
Hummingbird Pro
Smush Pro
and I am now having to disable them to work in Brizy.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will include the plugins in our internal issue tracking.
Is it directly related to the issue on this support thread where headers and footers disappear? Could you provide more details about the issue?
Best regards,
Ariel H.0 -
I am working my way through 60 sites one-by-one, and in a couple of instances, I found that I could not add/access any of the saved or global blocks until I deactivated those plugins that managed the CSS and JavaScript file compression.

I have had this problem before and found that WP-Optimize did not have the same problem, so I may use one or the other as need demands.

Oh it looks like this has happened for me too. It's also messed up all my blog pages so everything is showing as gibberish! :(

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the update, and I'm sorry that you are facing this issue on your websites.
This issue is currently in progress, and we will inform you of any new developments on this support thread.

We're having this problem as well. The headers and footers crashed. We tried to restore via updraftplus and now the media is disconnected. The entire website has devolved into a fiasco. Now we're trying to get the host to do a back up to a previous state and it is costing us cash out of pocket money, in addition to the massive waste of time.
feeling really bummed and loosing faith in brizy

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
If you are using a dynamic template for your blogs, consider opening the template and making minor layout changes. Update the template, and then verify if your blog pages are functioning correctly after completing these steps.
Otherwise, please follow the above details to send us your site's credentials so we can take a closer look. Please include the name or the URL of the problematic page so we can inspect it.

Hi Todd,
We apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.
Could you please try editing the page and making a small adjustment to your global header and footer, such as adding a period or a letter? After saving the changes, wait a few seconds, undo the alterations, and then update the page again. Finally, preview the page to see if this resolves the issue.
Some users have tried this method, and it has proven effective for them: https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/20307368904594
You may also revert to older versions, as suggested in the above support thread to address the issue. Links to download the older versions of Brizy can be found there.
Alternatively, you can follow the steps above to provide us with your WP Admin credentials for us to inspect your site.
I look forward to your response.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your cooperation.
Could you please check if you have the option to temporarily disable SG Cache in your hosting console?

I am looking forward to your response.

I have one site (of course it is the site with the highest traffic count) that is absolutely unwilling to allow me to open any of my block elements. Can you please take a look at it and send me a secured message for passing on your credentials?

We have been able to restore a previous version. However because we had "auto update" selected, WordPress auto updated to the current plugin and now we're back to square one.
I attempted to make a minor change to the global header and save. However each attempt to to save fails and asks me to refresh the page. We are not able to get anywhere.
PLEASE ALERT US WHEN THIS UPDATE IS FIXED!
We're stuck with a broken system now.
I will create an admin account for your support and send the credentials now.

and the article you posted is 3 years old so the plugin SG Optimizer must have changed since then .. what alternatives could work for us please?

Ignore that last request, by shutting down absolutely every other plugin I was able to free Brizy up to access the block elements.

Hi Todd,
Sorry about that.
To disable automatic updates, please follow the steps outlined in this link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-automatic-updates-in-wordpress/#method-2-disabling-automatic-wordpress-updates-plugin
The simplest method is to update the functions.php file and include the following directive:
add_filter('auto_update_plugin', '__return_false');
You may also use the Code Snippets plugin to insert the code if you don't want to directly edit the functions.php file as suggested in the above article.
Please give this a try and inform me of the outcome.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for the update.
Could you please contact SiteGround support to learn how to temporarily disable it?
We are having difficulty troubleshooting the issue due to hard caching issues.

Hi Todd,
Thank you for your cooperation.
Your website appears to be working now, as shown in this screencast: https://youtu.be/rGAEqBp6GtQ
The header and footer are now visible on all pages. We managed to fix this by moving elements in the header and stretching some images in the footer, saving the changes, and then undoing those changes before updating the page again.
Please check this on your end to confirm. Also, clear your browser cache before checking your site.
Best regards,
Ariel H.0 -
I would love to but it's not very straightforward - please can you send me a link?

Hi all! I am having this issue as well but I cannot make any updates. when I try to add something like a dot as suggested, then I can't update the page... "This page needs a refresh. You’ve probably updated this page (or another page) in a different tab or browser." so my sites have been without headers and footers for a couple of days now... this really is an issue. Please let me know how to proceed, even if it's a temporary solution because the Brizy Pro plugin isn't letting me do anything..? Thank you, Sofia

Hi Sofia,
Thank you for contacting us.
In case you are using WordFence, please set it to learning mode and see if this helps fix the issue:
1. In the WordFence plugin settings, navigate to Firewall;
2. Enable Learning Mode - https://imgur.com/TucapoH
3. Return to your Brizy page, make some minor changes, and then update the page.
4. Once done, return to the WordFence settings and re-enable the Enabled and Protecting option.
Please try this and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi there,
For info, any client who logs into their site with either Editor or Shop Manager capabilities makes the header and footer disappear.
Obviously that is causing us a lot of issues as we're trying to update sites as and when as we have a lot to update.
Thanks,
Darren0 -
Getting the same thing as others and when trying to change something simple I get the message "This page needs a refresh. You’ve probably updated this page (or another page) in a different tab or browser." I've disabled the cache app and a firewall app, still the same thing happens. Clients are NOT HAPPY!!!
Please let us know how to proceed?
Thanks.
