Brizy menù and wpml

I am trying to make the navigation menu multilingual with WPML plugin. I created the main menu in English and added the Italian translation. I configured to use the ENGLISH menu at the BRIZY menu block. When I change the language, the menu disappears. I expected to see the menu appear in Italian.
Instead I got only the flag of available translations but no menu items.
I solved for now by tagging all articles as IT or EN and displaying the correct menu based on the TAG. It is not the optimal solution. I manage other more complex sites and would need a more organic solution.
