    Hi Ben,

    Error messages like this usually show up on a WordPress website when WordPress Debug Mode is enabled. You can hide the error message by disabling this mode.     Thank you for the update.

    We have come across a similar issue where users have older versions of PHP installed on their servers. To address this issue, we kindly request that you update PHP to version 8.0 or higher.  
    To determine the PHP version, please refer to the following screenshot:  https://i.imgur.com/6qa8lK3.png
    If the PHP version is outdated, we recommend contacting your hosting provider and requesting an update.

    I tried upgrading PHP to 8.3 and then 8.0 

    both came back with critical errors 

    so will change back to 7 and live with turning off the messages for now
