going live with custom domain
Hi there,
I just subscribed to brizy cloud. I am trying to publish my site but I find it very confusing (maybe this is something that can be made simpler in brizy going forward).
I have purchased my domain (say - www.mydomain.com ) from godaddy and my domain is currently live and hosted by a hosting company in India (let's call it www.hosting12345india.com). In Godaddy, I have pointed the DNS to NS1.mydomain.com and NS2.mydomain.com and thus www.mydomain.com is Live and working.
Now I want to move to Brizy cloud. Please note that Godaddy is NOT hosting my domain as the DNS is pointed to www.Hosting12345india.com which is hosting my site currently. When I tried to add the A record and CNAME record in www.Hosting12345india.com, it did not permit me to add the A record and C record given by Brizy. So what is the problem and how can I host with Brizy as per my subscription?
Please help and guide properly so that I can do the changes. Please keep my question private and dont publish it.

Hi Avik,
Before adding the A Record and the CNAME Record to point your domain name to Brizy Cloud servers, please ensure that you are using GoDaddy's default name servers. Please watch the video on this page. https://in.godaddy.com/help/change-nameservers-for-my-domains-664
In the 'Edit Nameservers' screen, please select the option "I want to use the GoDaddy Default Name Servers"
Once you have switched to the default GoDaddy Nameservers, please add the A Record and the CNAME Record to your domain following the procedure in these documents.
- A Record: https://in.godaddy.com/help/add-an-a-record-19238
- CNAME Record: https://in.godaddy.com/help/add-a-cname-record-19236
This is a public forum and the we publish our answers so that other Brizy users can make use of the solutions provided in this forum. If there are details that you would like to keep private, please edit your post. If you prefer a completely private discussion, please send an email to support@brizy.io
