Brizy Cloud - Send In Blue form intergration not working
Hi,
I'm followed the instructions on this page:
https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360043865331-Sendinblue
But it seems new contacts from the form on my landing page:
https://offer.mdwc.ltd
are not going into my Send In Blue account. They are not going into the list specified or the main contact list.
Is there any issues with this intergration currently?
I am sure my API key is valid and connected as I created a new list in the Send In Blue account for my 2nd attempt - and it appeared when I was using the form intergration settings.
Also the email intergration is working fine for the form.
The leads are going in to my Brizy Cloud Pro dashboard as you can see on the attached screenprint.
Could you please have a look into this?
Many thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
When you integrate with SendInBlue, your Brizy form collects data to fill the SendInBlue Contacts database. Therefore, it is crucial that each form field corresponds to a Contact database field.
In this screen, you match the form fields to the fields in your contact database.
Can you please share with us this screen from your project?

Hi George,
Thanks for getting back to me - I've attached 2 screenprints as requested.
If you have any error logs your end they could be helpful.

Matt

Hi Matt,
I have tested your form with these details
- First name: KC
- Second name: George
- Email:kc@kc.com
Can you please check if this contact is added to SendinBlue?

Hi KC,
Your test form came through with the email intergration but did not come into the Send In Blue database.
I started the process of elimination with the fields.
The form works with these fields: Firstname (Text), Lastname (Text) and Email (text). The issue is with the mobile / sms field.
I tried the following to get it working:
- Attempt 1) In Brizy set up a (text) field called SMS - mapped to the existing SMS field(text) in Send In Blue - form submitted but contact did not go into Send In Blue
- Attempt 2) In Brizy set up a (number) field called SMS - mapped to the new (number) field in Send In Blue - form submitted and it DID go into Send In Blue. However the 'number' was split into a large interger in Send In Blue - making this method unsuitable for storing phone numbers
- Attempt 3) In Brizy set up a (tel) field called SMS - mapped to the existing SMS field(text) in Send In Blue - form submitted but contact did not go into Send In Blue
The main question that remains is how can you get a mobile number to be submitted through a Brizy Form into the Send In Blue database - what is the best field type combo between the 2?
I've attached relevant screenprints for Send In Blue and Brizy.
A lead being able to add a contact mobile number is pretty important so if you could advise what the best way is it would be really appreciated.

Matt

Hi Matt,
I did a test at my end and when I submit the Brizy form, the details are getting added to my Contact database with SendInBlue. Here is how I set it up
I added a Contact Attribute PHONE with the type Number
I have setup my form fields like shown below. Text highlighted in red indicates the form filed type.
I have mapped Brizy form fields with the SendInBlue database fields in this manner
When I filled up the form, this contact got added little while ago
You are right about the phone number format. It has several commas. That is how the number format is displayed in SendInBlue.

Hi Matt,
If you set your Phone field as Text in both Contact Database and in Brizy, the phone number will get added without commas.

Hi KC,
I think we've been working on this at the same time. I appreciate your high level of support trying to resolve this.
I've got it all working now and it appears the reason it wasn't working text field to text field for the SMS Send in Blue field was because I did not put +44 (UK Int Code) before the mobile number.
Thanks for your assistance.
A few things for your consideration (or the dev team):
1) Mobile Field with International Dialling Code Option - As you'll have seen Send In Blue uses an international code as part of their standard form embed (screenprint attached) - it would be good to have this option in Brizy as if a lead doesn't put in the +44 they effectively won't get saved into Send In Blue
2) Validation detail - Although the text input boxes changing to red is useful validation, the actual form failure message 'the email was not sent' is not very specific - is there a way to customise this? Can there be a validation message appear above the field that has not passed validation?
3) GDPR / Double opt-in - With Send In Blue direct embed forms there is the GDPR 'double opt-in' - so an email is triggered from the form, which they have to click on - THEN they go into Send In Blue. It may not be possible to replicate this exactly, so am I correct in thinking - the best way to get around this is to add a tick box saying 'I accept I will be added to the Send In Blue database for future communications'.
Kind Regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,
We appreciate your recommendations for enhancing the Brizy Form. You are correct; using SendInBlue's API does not allow you to use their double opt-in option; only embedding a SendInBlue form will work.
The next best thing you can do in lieu of the double opt-in could be to include a check box that reads, "I understand I will be added to the Contact database for future messages."
