Best Hosting for Server Intensive Dynamic Site
Hi,
As you mentioned below, my dynamic directory site on Brizy cloud will grow and will cause server issues.
So which of these options do you think will work best for my site?
1. On the free hosting, do you think that netlify, vercel or render will have the server capacity for my site? If so, which one would be best?
2. If you don't think the free hosting would work in this case, then server synch is the way forward? If I take my zip file, I could upload and host the file at, say, Cloudways?
Please let me have your advice asap.
Thanks & regards,
David
Ideally a directory website like this should be hosted on a server which can upgrade its hardware resources (like available RAM, diskspace, bandwidth etc.) as the directory grows. When you are hosting a website like this on a SaaS website builder, you are likely to face server resource crunch because it is not designed to handle such resource intense websites.
We have no way to increase server resources for a specific project. I am not sure what the solution could be.
Today you posted this:
You can download the HTML of your website by clicking here Download Now.jpg
If you select the 3rd-Party Free Hosting option of publishing, your source files get synced to your GitHub repository. From your GitHub repository, you can download the project source files. 3rd-party Free Hosting.jpg
If you use the Server Sync option, you get a ZIP file which can be uploaded to a PHP server. Server Sync.jpg

Hi David,
Unfortunately both do not look like good options for you.
- 3rd Party Free Hosting: These hosting providers use the JAMstack technology for publishing websites. With Jamstack, your website front end is prebuilt into static pages during a build process. The pages are decoupled from data and business logic. A directory is a database driven website. While static pages developed using Brizy Cloud can be easily deployed on Netlify, Vercel or Render, can a database driven websites be published on this technology? At the moment, I don't have an answer for this. We will need to carry out some tests before confirming this.
- Server Sync: The Server Sync feature has some bugs and hence this is not a good publishing option at the moment. It has issues when syncing updates you make to your website.

Hi,
I saw Dimi's presentation last night and it looks like you guys are pushing dynamic content, with filters and e-commerce on the way.
Like my business directory, many of these sites are going to be large and therefore potentially slow to load. You are not giving me any options here.
If you don't recommend either solution, it's now extremely important that you let me know how I can further optimise my site for quicker download times. My site is not currently large, as it contains no dynamic listings. There must be some other way of making this site load faster.
Can't you do something with cashing the static part of the pages?
Are you currently working on fixing the server sync bugs?
I've spent 100s of hours on this project.

Hi David,
I have tried publishing a blog with one of the 3rd Party Free Hosting providers, Vercel. The website is able to handle the dynamic content well. Please have a look at these
- Original Brizy Cloud website: https://digiwork.brizy.site/
- Published on Vercel: https://digiwork.vercel.app/
As you can see the blog listing and the linking to the appropriate blog posts etc are working fine.
Hence publishing https://www.wighttheory.com/ on a 3rd Party Free Hosting is an option for you. Here are the procedures for each hosting provider.
