Server Sync var_dump

I REALLY want to love Server Sync. But I can't for the life of me make it work.

I've followed your instructions to a T and searched the Support forum (and Internet at large) fro other suggestions. Bupkis.

All I can manage to get is a PHP var_dump indicating "Install and enable the zip extension." and "Change the permissions of either "/" directory."

Both my root directory and its subdirs all have 775 permissions set.

What is going on?
