Use of HTLM site

Hello! This is a total beginner's question but I was hoping to get some clarity.

When exporting the HTML file from Brizy Cloud... what's its use? 

Is it a form of backup for the site?

And if we provide this file to a client (let's say the client doesn't want to work with us anymore for instance), how can he use it?

Does he need Brizy to use it? Or can he continue to work on the design as a "template" for another end, or continue working on the same site without Brizy?

    Hi Olive,

    The HTML ZIP file provides an additional hosting option to Brizy Cloud websites. If the user wants to host it on a faster hosting server or want to take the benefit of a CDN like Cloudflare, they can do it.

    The ZIP file does not act like a backup because, you cannot restore a website from that file. Providing the file to a client would not be very useful as he cannot make modifications to the website. If the client wants to take ownership of the project, he needs to sign up with Brizy Cloud, you need to move his project to a workspace and  request us to move the workspace to his account.

    So there's absolutely no way to take a Brizy Cloud project onto WordPress for example (using Brizy WP plugin)?

    I ask this, having in mind the client's perspective when signing with me. Basically, if they ever want to stop working with me, they lose their site, unless they pay for Brizy cloud themselves. Is this right? Or is there anything else I can explain to them in advance just so everything is clear

    On a separate note, do you keep any backups of sites hosted on Brizy Cloud? How are we protected if something happens?

    Hi Olive,

    You can transfer a Brizy Cloud website to WordPress. At the moment the process is to save each page as a layout and import one layout at a time to WordPress and then copy paste global typography and colors and setup menu in WordPress. For the PRO features to work, either you or the client will need to have a license of Brizy WP.

    At the moment, we do not have a good backup system for projects. You can save each page as a layout and each layout can be downloaded as a ZIP file. You can import the layout to any project by uploading the ZIP file.   

    However the entire Brizy Cloud is backed up every second. At a macro level everything is backed up. We are currently working on a feature to clone projects. In one click, users will be able to make a clone of their projects. This can act like a backup in the future.

    Hi KC! Natalia just told me that if I am to have both Brizy Cloud (white label) and Brizy WP (white label) I cannot have them under the same account.

    So if I understand this correctly, if I want to use a cloud layout on WP, since the accounts are different, the option that I have is that of saving the zip folder of the layout (from account 1) and then clicking "import new block" (from account 2) and upload the zip I had previously saved on my computer?

    Therefore, the "saved" blocks area would not synk between WP and cloud, since those have to be different Brizy plans and accounts.

    Hi Olive,

    Please have a look at this video https://jmp.sh/wR6gCl0 As I demonstrate in this video, you can sync your WordPress saved blocks and layouts to either your own Brizy account or anyone else's Brizy account. Since you have this flexibility with Brizy Sync, it may be possible that from your Brizy WP account, you can sync with your white-labelled Brizy Cloud Agency account. If you like, we can do this experiment for you and get back to you with the results.
