page speed yet again
Hi,
I have put up a landing page and a program page which we would have normally printed out. I've convinced the event org.team that by the time it is edited in photoshop/pdf it will be online and everyone can just look it up on their phone.
So far i've been able to deliver on the promise and everyone is excited to save on hundreds of printouts.
Only, the site loads in about 8 seconds with no feedback to the user. I am now thinking of a pre-loader to display a running circle so that the user knows something is happening in the background, but i'd much rather have this loaded within a second as it would on my server.
For such a simple 2 pages site i thought brizy cloud would be just perfect, especially since the whole site will live for 5 days only.
I need this to be working by Tuesday. or else i will have to re-do the lot in another system to never to turn to brizy again as it's not the first time it disapoints in terms of speed.
Site in question is thn.nyolcboldogsag.hu
And i don't care about the desktop version. this is a mobile only site.

Hi Tamas,
I have tested your page on an Android mobile at my end. Please see my test here. https://media.publit.io/file/nyolcboldogsag.mp4 During my test, the page loaded within 1.5-2 seconds. It did not take 8 seconds.
When you are updating your website and checking preview for the very first time, the page will be created and cached. Hence you will experience slower page speed for the first time. Your website users will see the page after you have tested the preview. Hence for them the page will be faster.

Thank you for looking into this George,
I don't know where you are. I am in Hungary. I've tested on both LTE and home wifi 50mbit.
It is quite consistent in both firefox and chrome.
I've noticed you have tested in incognite mode. I see the same, in a private window the site loads in about 1.5 sec. However, this is not the scenario a normal user would have. What can be done to achieve the same load time in a normal browser window?

Hi Tamas,
I live in India and I tested your page using 4G LTE mobile data connection.
Normally it takes longer for a page to load in Incognito mode because the images and files are not cached. In the regular browser window, your page should load faster because of browser caching. Here is my test with regular Google Chrome window. https://media.publit.io/file/nyolcboldogsagk.mp4 The page loads within a second.
It is unusual that on a normal browser window it takes longer. This could be because of an issue with the specific device. Please try it on alternate mobile devices.
