Custom drawer menu Pop Up
Hey guys,
I am creating a pop up to replace the normal hamburger menu on an e-commerce store because I would like the drawer menu to contain a search bar and some icons (I may be wrong, but I do not think it is possible to do this usig the normal hamburger menu).
I've been able to do this but with one issue:
If I add a menu with main categories with sub categories, a new menu appears next to the pop up (see image 1)
If I add all the categories and subcategories, the menu becomes very long and too hectic (see image 2)
I'd like to recreate how the normal hamburger menu displays where categories can be clicked and expanded to show subcategories (see image 3)

Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi Chris,
Since you have several sub menu items, it would be a challenge to organize your menu within a side menu drawer. For websites with a huge number of sub menus, a better approach is to use the Mega Menu. It helps you organize your menu items much better. You can use columns, images and typographies in your mega menu and make it much more creative. You can have a separate mega menu under Small Appliances and list the Small Appliance categories within this menu.
For inspiration, take a look at some mega menu examples here. https://motopress.com/blog/wordpress-mega-menu-examples/

If you want to stick to the side drawer menu, please consider recreating your Shop menu and Small Appliances menu using the Accordion element.
