how to show testamonials randomly in a slider
Hi,
I'd like to show a few customer testimonials(100% text) in a slider and show a different testimonial each time the page gets reloaded. My theme has a feature that allows me to build a list of testimonials with featured images but I don't have those images and only need the comments from my customers. I could still use the feature and put the content using Brizy's carousel for the dynamic content but it seems that unless I input featured images for the testimonials Brizy can't see(detect) the content as part of the dynamic content to display.
So, my alternate option is create a slider block and manually show a few text boxes in there but at the moment Brizy doesn't seem to allow me to show the boxes in a random order. It just shows the same testimonial for each page reload unless I manually change the order of the boxes in the block.
With that said, is there another way I could try to display customer testimonials in a random order?

Hi Yungjoo,
Are you thinking about something like this? https://kctest.online/testimonials Please try refreshing the page.
I did this using the carousel element with these selections. The testimonials are given as part of the post 'Excerpt"

Hi George,
Thanks for your reply. I checked out the link you gave me above and at least the way it works is pretty much what I'm after. One question, though, Looks like you create a category of news for your blog and pull the category's postings into the testimonial carousel. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Yungjoo,
I have recorded a video with the procedure to implement this design. Please take a look https://jmp.sh/I7s1nK7

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the video and I exactly followed the flow there. The problem, though, is the same posts for the news category also appear on my blog archives page. I also found and installed a plugin that allows me to hide a certain category of posts from the archives page but then again the plugin also hides the same posts and/or excepts from the carousel. Hmmm, I guess I I'll just create a slider and manually populate the slides with a few customer testimonials until Brizy releases a feature allowing me to populate the slider with dynamic content.
Best regards,

Hi Yungjoo,
When you are designing your Category Archive Template, try excluding the News category using the Display Conditions. Probably you do not need a plugin to do that.

Thanks a lot, George!
It works as you explain above. Without a plugin!
