    Hi Jordan,

The shortcodes are expected to behave this way. In the editor, it will just display the code and in the front-end it would display its content. https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-shortcodes/

That might be an acceptable response if this was not a new phenomenon. In the past I have been able to see the forms in the brizy editor. Was there an update made to change this?

    Hi Jordan,

In general, when you paste a shortcode in WordPress, you just see the shortcode in the editor and in the front end you see the content of the page. Here is an example of how shortcodes work with Gutenberg for a woocommerce website. https://jmp.sh/KHHc2hh

Could you be confusing shortcode element with the Embed element? If you paste an embed code into the Embed element, sometimes you may see a preview in the editor and sometimes you don't.

If I were to put a GravityForm shortcode into the embed element I would not expect to see anything on the back end or the front end since it's not a valid HTML code.

I found another page where the shortcode has decided to show the form in the brizy editor.

    And here's another: https://jmp.sh/N6WKuy1

After further troubleshooting it appears like it's specific to the form. I can add the form shown in those videos to the page and it will show the form, but if I try to add form 135, it appears blank on the back end. So I don't know what is going on.

    Hi Jordan,

Are you still disappointed that some shortcodes do not display its content in the editor. https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-a-shortcode-in-wordpress/ Here is another article you can look through. In every example in this article, you will see the shortcode itself in the editor and not its content. Shortcodes are not meant to display its content in the editor in general.

If a shortcode happened to display its content in one or two instances, please treat it as an exception and if it does not, treat it as normal.
