Hi
In this video, I am walking you through the GT Metrix waterfall of your website https://jmp.sh/Wp7mNo1
As you can see from the waterfall,
- Most of your website loads within one second.
- There are around 12 requests going to maps.googleapis.com which adds 0.5 seconds to your loading time.
Please consider replacing your map with just an address or a map image to further improve the performance of your website. Map image can be linked to Google Map of your location.

Hello,
And thank you for your reply – you have tested the desktop site where I have no issue with speed, not the mobile version.
The issue is with the mobile site being much slower than the desktop – even after disabling the map on your recommendation.
Mobile Speed 33% : https://jmp.sh/0wWesRP
Desktop Speed 88%: https://jmp.sh/7IDbXRH
Can you help explain this?
Thank you.

Hi Ross,
A mobile's performance and data speed on an average user's mobile tends to be slower than a laptop's performance and its broadband speed. The mobile and the desktop scores normally differ because the testing for mobile websites are carried out with more strict conditions. You can read more about it here

If a website's content is the same across mobile, tablet and a desktop and if you implement a performance improvement measure for your website, it will improve performance across all devices. (Rarely a website content is different for different devices). For example, if you disable the map, it should improve performance of your website for mobile, desktop and tablet. Hence performance improvement recommendations are normally made for the website as a whole (and not for a specific device)
