add carrots to wordpress top menu

I'm trying to add (or see) the downward carrot for my dropdown menu. I've tried adding "menu-item-has-children" has custom CSS but that does not work either.

  If you need to add carrot to the dropdown menu please click on the menu and then choose the icon, please see this video.
