Placeholder Text

When I create an asset with 'placeholder' text, as below:

 

Should it not appear in the 'space' for that field if I do not specify a text - i.e if I leave the field blank???

 

This is what I get when I do fill out the field with a date:

  Hi Charles,

  The placeholder text is currently designed as an example text for data entry. For example if it is a date field you can place a placeholder text : 02 May 2022 to indicate that this is how one should fill up the date. It is not meant as a generic text that appears when no data is available.
