Enable/disable Advanced Custom Fields
Hi there!
As no one from the Brizy team seems to be interested in helping me with this annoying problem I’m going to ask the same question over and over again …
I need to get rid of the SoundCloud placeholder when there is no SoundCloud link in an Advanced Custom Field. As disabling fields is standard in most of the other page builders it would be great if you could tell me how I can solve this in Brizy Pro.
A similar topic occurred two years ago — hiding dynamic image placeholders.
And you still don’t have a solution for this, do you?!
Best regards.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us.
You have received an answer for this problem in another post, please insert the CSS in the front end. We do not have another solution at the moment.
Best regards, Nelea.

Hello Nelea!
As I have written in this particular post — inserting the CSS in the front end has no effect. Please try it yourself …0 -
Dear Tilman,
Please use this option: https://jumpshare.com/v/2yPtbphy7gzq2KKaU6b3
Sorry, but at the moment we don't have another solution.
Best regards, Nelea.

Hi Nelea!
As stated above — putting.g-shadow-inset {
display: none;
}in Customizers Advanced CSS has no effect. It would be great if you could try it yourself and see what happens!

Bump.
Seriously — I am getting really angry! How can you sell a product which isn’t fully working? How can it be that an essential problem isn’t fixed after two years? How can it be that you can’t help a pro-user with a problem until it’s fixed?

Hi,
Yes, you're right it is not working. We have added this future request to the to-do list, but it has not been implemented yet because there are so many things to do in Brizy builder. Our dev time always implements new options but I can't add them all at once. We're so sorry we can't help you now.
Best regards, Nelea.

Hi Nelea!
The problem persists, the website is looking really awful and I am in real trouble. As I bought a pro license with lifetime support and the problem is clearly on your side I want you to help me solving the issue right now. It simply cannot be that you are selling something for $300 which is only half baked and then let a customer alone with an ugly problem!
Kind regards

Hi Tilman,
At the moment, we do not have a feature to hide custom assets with missing audio/video/image. You will have to remove those assets manually or change those asserts into "Draft" instead of "Published" for now.
We have a made a request to add this feature. We do not know when this would be made available.

Hi KC George —
Thank your for your answer! It would be great if could tell where this can be set.0 -
Hi Tilman,
Here is the procedure to hide custom assets with missing media: https://jmp.sh/qzpiHl4

Where do I find those assets? It seems that I don’t have that menu …

Hi Tilman,
Did you not develop the custom assets? If you do not see the hamburger icon at the top of the sidebar, it means either of the two
- You are using an old version of Brizy Cloud and this project was setup more than a 15 months ago.
- You are invited as a Team Member to another user's Brizy Cloud account and you are given the "Editor" role.

Hi KC George!
I am using the Wordpress version of Brizy Pro …0 -
Hi Tilman,
I am sorry; I misunderstood your development platform. For WordPress, the procedure is slightly different. Please take a look at this video for the procedure to manually hide the placeholders for posts with missing links. https://jmp.sh/B1izjKE

KC George!
Thank you for the video. As the Soundcloud links are just one part of a couple of information I’m afraid it’s not possible to simply set the post’s status to “draft” because all the other info would also be hidden …0 -
Hi Tilman,
Then the only the option would be to make the sound cloud link static and add it to Brizy audio element directly (and not use the custom fields you have created)

Hi KC George!
As the entire page is dynamic this isn’t an option.
The problem with this annoying placeholder persists since ACF was integrated into Brizy … How long was that ago — two years or three? Again: It simply cannot be that you are selling something for $300 which is only half baked and then let a customer alone with an ugly problem! I need a solution for this issue now because I am in deep sh*t!0 -
Hi Tilman,
If you give me access to your project, I can demonstrate to you how you can implement my suggestion of adding sound cloud static link to Brizy audio element within your blog.
If you need this help, please add me as a user to your WordPress Dashboard. My email: kc.george@brizy.io. Please enable the option "Send the new user an email about their account" as in this screenshot https://jmp.sh/tSRznJX
Once you have sent me an invitation, please let me know here.

Hi Tilman,
I have looked at your project. Like you have mentioned, since the entire page is dynamic you cannot add a static elements to it. However if you modify your design slightly you can achieve this. For example if you redesign your blogpost template somewhat close to this design you can achieve it. https://neuewelt.club/wp/neue_welt_dates/riotvan-record-test/
If the accordion element is moved to a different block like in this sample design, you can make that block a saved block instead of a global. Once you do this, you can manually add the audio links to these saved blocks.
The key step would be to redesign your blogpost template to place the accordion element in an independent block

Hi KC George —
Thank you for fiddling around! I’ve re-arranged the design … but as I can’t figure out how to make the block a saved block instead of a global one it would be great if you would be so kind and guide me once more!0 -
Hi,
If you need to save a block, then reuse it please go to the setting block and click on the heart icon, see here. For more information please see this video too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH778NcZY4M

Hi Nelea!
Unfortunately I am not able to connect to my account to the cloud. It says “Incorrect username or password”. And when I want to recover my password it says “The email address format is not valid” — although I am using the same email address which I am using here …
When I try to create an account using the same email address which I am using here it says “Incorrect username or password”.What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Please check your email, i have sent a new password.

Ok, thank you!
Now that I have saved this block — how can I integrate it into my posts?
When I open one of them and click on “edit with Brizy” all I get is an empty Brizy page … Which is normal because the template defines the design.
Any hint would be appreciated!0 -
Hi Tilman,
Can you come on a Zoom call with me? I can demonstrate to you how you can integrate the saved blocks to your blogposts.

Hi KC George!
If possible it would be great if you could make one of those videos instead.
Thanks!0 -
Hi Tilman,
Please watch this video for the procedure to implement your revised design to your custom post type nw-dates. https://jmp.sh/bUwvOtG
When you Edit a nw-dates and click on "Edit with Brizy" and create a new design, your new design will override your Brizy Template. I have implemented your new design for
- https://neuewelt.club/wp/neue_welt_dates/riotvan/
- https://neuewelt.club/wp/neue_welt_dates/neue-vibe-shift/
Please follow these steps to implement the revised design to other nw-dates.
- Click on "Edit"
- Click on "Edit with Brizy". The header, the footer and the hero block should automatically appear as you open the file.
- Add the "Saved" block below the hero block and remove the dynamic content from the Audio elements and add the SoundCloud URLs directly.
If you have further questions, please let me know.

Hi Tilman,
As one of your blocks is not a global, if you make a change to the block in one nw-dates, you will need to repeat the same modification in all the other nw-dates.
You had not made your revised nw-dates design responsive. I was working on adapting your desktop design for tablet and mobile. In the mist of my work, the account was taken over. Please make your new design responsive first and then save it again and use this saved block to implement the new design to all other nw-dates.

Help — it’s all messed up!
https://neuewelt.club/wp/neue_welt_dates/outsiders/
Can you please jump in and fix it!?
Or is it somehow possible to undo the step that makes it edited with Brizy?0 -
Hi,
I have checked your website and everything looks fine, please see this video. Please confirm if everything is working well at your end?
Best regards, Nelea.
