Custom Asset Reference Issue

Hi,
I have created a custom asset called "Country" and added 196 countries.  Then I included "Country" as a reference in another asset "Person".  When trying to add a person and select a country from the reference dropdown list, not all the countries were listed/available.  About only half of the countries were showing in the dropdown list (up to the country names that start with "L").  The rest are not there.  Is there a limit on the number of reference dropdown select options?

    Hi this issue is inside the Brizy Cloud custom asset builder.  Here is a screenshot of the "Country Reference" when doing data entry to add a new a person (custom asset).  Trying to pick a country by selecting from the country dropdown list.  The countries are alphabetized from A to Z.  I believe it gets cut off at around 90 countries.  The last entry after scrolling all the way down is "Libya" which is incorrect, it should be "Zimbabwe". 

    I have just test it out with "Multi Reference" instead of "Single Reference" and the result is the same.  Only up to 90 countries are available to pick instead of all 196 countries when trying to add a new person (custom asset).  "Libya" is the last one again instead of "Zimbabwe".  Country is also a custom asset with country name, short code and flag image.
    I do not want to display the URL publicly right now.  Is there a way to send it privately?

    Hi Jason,

    It is possible that we have put a limit for the drop down list. We will look into this and correct it. 

    Please share the URL here and mention that it should not be made public. When you post a comment, it is not make public immediately. One of us reviews it and then we make it public. We delete confidential data before publishing every post/comment

    You can't really see the issue on the website but instead in the Brizy Cloud builder where you try to do data entry to add a new custom asset person and selecting a country from Country reference which is a dropdown list.

    Thanks for the alternative way to set country.
    I have thought about using the Selection Option method, however, there are several benefit of using the Country Custom Asset & Country reference. 

    One of the reasons I used Country reference is because I included full country name, the alpha-2 country code and the flag image in the Country Custom Asset which will allow me to just select it once and have all 3 data/image available. 

    Once set, I can use the Country Custom Asset Reference in the Posts element's filter to show only people from a specific country while the Select Option Method will not be able to be used as a filtering criteria.  This is quite an important functionality to allow for more precise filtering.

    Another benefit is that I will have additional custom assets that can reference the Country Custom Asset and I can use Country reference again without having to re-enter the countries for the select option method (and upload the flag images) each time I create a new custom asset that needs the country info.

    I understand for blogging purpose, taxonomy with a limit of 90 is more than enough but I believe Brizy cloud is working towards becoming a full CMS & ecommerce platform, this limit will not be enough for non-blogging use cases I believe.  Also I noticed that Brizy Cloud got rid of the Single/Archive selection in the custom asset creation form.  If I understand correctly, basically there's no need to distinguish if a custom asset is single or used as taxonomy.  Any assets (custom or not) can be referenced by other assets.  This is awesome work and as more people start using Brizy Cloud for more advanced features, more people will need this limit lifted.

    If there are additional options for the things I mentioned, feel free to suggest them.  Thank you again for your help and your time for creating the video.

    Hi KC,
    Can this be added to feature request or fix?  Maybe increase the limit to 500 or something.
    Also I was thinking, long number of entries in the Reference Select Options might take a long time to scroll and locate, perhaps the field can allow user to type in the first few characters and then it'll retrieve possible matching entries for selection. (Just like how the manual filter work in the Posts Element)

    Hi Jason,

    Sure. Increasing the References limit from 90 to 500 is a good Feature Request. We can also add the ability for users to type initials few characters and quickly select the options. Will add this to our list of To Dos.
