How Do You Make A Blog Category Page
AnsweredI have made a page for my blog Archives. If I am on that page and select one of the blog categories from the sidebar it takes me to listings specific to that category - and that page is dynamically generated by the template.
So I know how to make a page for all archived posts, but how do you make a page for specific categories?
Also, I am watching the Brizy tutorial on how to make dynamic templates. I am using the pro plugin. At 5:55 it shows a list of dynamic elements that he says are only available when making a template - I do not see any of those elements when making a template.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Carl,
If you would like to make a separate category archive templates for a specific category, you need to make appropriate selection in the Display Conditions. In this example, I am creating a category archive page for my News Category. For this I have selected Template Type: Archive and Include - Categories - News
Once you add this template, you can click on "Edit With Brizy" to design your specific Archive page.

Hi Kc George. Thanks for taking the time to help! I did as you said, but I am having the following issue: When I select "edit with Brizy" in the new template there is no element option for Posts or Archives. So I am unsure how I am supposed to get the newly created category page to actually display posts in that specific category - rather than having the category page display in the theme's default listing.
Any thoughts?

Hi Carl
We will need to take a look at your WordPress Dashboard to see why you are not able to see the Archive and Posts elements.
If you need help with troubleshooting, please add me as a user to your WordPress Dashboard. My email: kc.george@brizy.io. Please enable the option "Send the new user an email about their account" as in this screenshot https://jmp.sh/tSRznJX
Once you have sent me an invitation, please let me know here.

Hi KC George. Thanks again for your reply. I actually figured it out and have everything working as expected. Your example worked perfectly - I just did not implement it correctly. Once I slowed down and tried it again the next day I got the result I was looking for. It is very nice to be able to be able to isolate specific categories or chose all of them... I would imagine that this all works the same way for woocommerce? Thank you for your help!

Yes; you can design individual archive pages for Products as well.
