Embed or Link a video - What are the Pro's and Con's of each

What are the differences between "linking" and video and "embedding" a video

  Hi Don,

  With Brizy you have two options to embed a video

  1. Use the video element and paste the YouTube or Vimeo link
  2. Use the embed element and copy paste the embed code.

  Among the two options, the fist approach is better because you have an option to add a video cover and this improves your page performance. When you use the video element with video cover, the video will not be loaded in the background when the page loads. The video will be loaded only when the user clicks on the Play button. Hence the page will load faster. 

  If you use the embed element, the video will load along with the page in the background. The user may or may not click on the Play button. Irrespective of the user choice, the video files will download in the  background. This will make the page load slower.
