    Hi Wim,

    I wonder if this happens due to theme incompatibility. Can you name the WordPress theme you are using?

    If your theme is not listed here, can you please change to Blocksy or any other theme listed here? https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners

    If this does not help, please get back to us. We may need to take a look at your WordPress Dashboard to to help you further.

    Hi George

    I'm actually using the Blocksy theme. The cause should not be that.

    Best regards,
    Wim

    Hi KC

    I've created an account for you. Please let me know if you've received the email and were able to log in. I'm not using that many plugins, although a plugin conflict is still possible. Both sites of the multisite are still under construction, so feel free to turn of the plugins if needed.

    Best regards,
    Wim

    Hi Wim

    I have received your invitation. I am able to login. However I see a blank Dashboard. https://jmp.sh/X2OIWtB May be you haven't assigned me administrator role. Can you please check?

    Hi Wim

    It appears that you have installed Brizy and Brizy Pro in the Multisite Network Admin and accessing it from a member site. Can you please confirm this? You can install it this way and use Brizy in multiple WordPress instances of your network if you have Brizy Waas license.

    Hi KC

    I'm a customer at WPMUDEV for my hosting, where they only allow one WP install per hosting package. In order to make good use of a package, it makes sense use a multi install. When I purchased Brizy PRO, I looked for the answer to the question if I could use the plugin on a multisite, but appearently I have been misinformed or I misunderstood. As I understood it, you need a Waas licence if you have a multisite network where your client uses Brizy in a DIY setting, which is not the case here. There is no client. If it was clear to me that this was not possible, I wouldn't have bothered with this purchase, because I'm not making money with this. 400 USD/year is a great deal of money just to run one plugin on two simple websites.

    Best regards,
    Wim

    Hi Wim

    I am sorry for the trouble you are in. Have you signed up with WPMUDEV for a long period of time or are you on a monthly plan? If you are on a monthly plan, are you open to look at other hosting options? For example, https://www.easywp.com/pricing/

    Hi KC

    I have purchased a license for my work at the university and for my work as a freelancer. I have all of my sites at WPMUDEV (a monthly subscription for the university sites and an agency subscription for my work as a freelancer), many of them multi-installs. WPMUDEV has customer support that compares to none. It would take a lot for me to leave them.

    For me, the real issue here comes down to this: it does not say on the Brizy site that the plugin is only compatible with a single install, or the opposite for that matter, that it is not compatible with a multisite. If it does, I cannot find it at my best effort. What Brizy WaaS is, is not explained. In fact, there is even no mention of WaaS on the Brizy site. Also, Brizy talks about WaaS on https://bzdev3.brizy.io/waas-program/, but WaaS is not the same as a multisite. WaaS is a business model which uses a multisite, but a multisite in itself is not a business model. So, if there is no mention about multisite compatibility before purchase and there is no mention of WaaS and what it is, how is one to know this before purchasing a PRO license? How is all of this not misleading?

    Hi Wim

    I agree with you. We do not have an explicit statement on our website about the compatibility between Brizy and WordPress Multisite. We will consider adding it.

    We used to provide Brizy Waas licenses; we are not offering it anymore. That is why you do not find any reference to this product on our website. I agree Waas is not same as WordPress Multisite. There should be a clear statement about the compatibility between Brizy and WordPress Multisite. I apologize again for our part of the mistake.

    Since you have already purchased Brizy Pro, if you would like to make use it, here is what I suggest. Continue using WPMUDEV for your Freelance business since you like their support, but consider an alternate hosting provider for the university website/websites.  These are our hosting partners. https://www.brizy.io/hosting-partners. Please consider migrating your university website to https://www.cloudways.com/

    Hi KC

    The fact that this information is not mentioned on the Brizy site has lead to this issue. Not mentioning it, is the choice of Brizy, but therefore also the responsibility of Brizy. It is for you guys to provide me with a solution. Me switching hosting would be me providing you with a solution. I could not have avoided this situation, but Brizy could have.

    Best regards,
    Wim

    HI Wim

    Since we do not have a product that supports WordPress Multisite, switching to a hosting provider who supports single instances of WordPress I believe is the best solution in your given scenario.

    By the way if you sign up with Cloudways, within a single cloud server you can deploy multiple instances of WordPress and host multiple websites. (very similar to what you are getting from WPMUDEV but without using Multisite). You also get an option to host your server in a physical location closest to a city. If the university customers are predominantly from a city/region, you can choose a server location close to the city. You also have access to chat support from within your Cloudways account.

    I would encourage you to try it out. If you use a server only for two days, you pay only for two days with Cloudways. They have an hourly billing system.

    Hi KC

    I was mistaken before: there ís a mention of the mutisite option on the Brizy site. On the licenses that I have, the multisite install should work.

    I'm expecting nothing less than a working version of what I have payed for. That is not unreasonable. You cannot claim to sell a mutisite capable plugin until it's sold and then change the story. That is not a fair vendor practice.

    Please propose a solution to me, not a work-around which is only convenient for you.

    Hi Wim

    I checked with my colleagues. They said that Brizy should work with Multisite. I am sorry; I was not aware of this change.

    I would like to take a look at your issue more closely. In the Green Community project, I do not see any posts. For archive element to display posts, you should add few posts first?

    Hi KC

    So, to recap, the issue is as follows:
    - the first issue, the Archive element only showing the pagination is solved. Adding a post may have done the trick. However, the search function is not limited to posts, so it's odd that Brizy requires them in order to display well. The site ecomarkt.gent works with a custom post type called 'Handelaars'.
    - When searching, no results appear on the front end when the search archive is created with Brizy (the post I created does not appear neither). When I turn the Brizy template off and revert to the Blocksy seach archive, the search results appear.

    Hi Wim

    If you setup a Search Template under Brizy -Templates for blog posts or another custom post type, search results will be displayed in the Brizy Search Results page.

    If you need help with this, please let me know, I can create an initial design for you and and you can modify it later

    Hi KC

    I'm confused. The search result template is supposed to have this setting, right?

    You can test it here: https://ecomarkt.gent/search-test/
    You could search for 'Kweek' (e.g. one of the pages of the type Handelaar) or 'test' (e.g. the title of a post). Nothing appears in the front end. I cannot find any setting related to specific custom post types. Can you please have a look?

    Hi Wim

    You have installed Relevanssi Premium, a search plugin which replaces the default WordPress search. With the Relevancy search enabled, Brizy Search template does not work. If you deactivate it Brizy Search Template starts working. Please check this URL. https://ecomarkt.gent/?s=test

    Hi KC

    Thank you for looking into it! It's nice to have a working search.

    Is this plugin conflict something Brizy should address or is this something I should take up with the developers of Relevanssi?

    Best regards,
    Wim

    Hi Wim

    Building plugin compatibility is slightly complex matter. It is normally worked out between two plugin developers. Each plugin developer needs to evaluate if there is sufficient demand among their customers for compatibility with the plugin in question. If a significant percentage of their customers use the given plugin and if it can enhance the overall usefulness to their customers , then the two developers may agree to work together.

    Hi KC

    Thank you for your reply. I'll get in touch with the developer of Relevanssi and leave the rest up to you both.

    I've asked the developer of Relevanssi to get in touch and refer to this thread.

    Hi KC

    The developer of Relevanssi had a look at the issue and adding this to functions.php does the trick:

    add_filter( 'brizy_post_loop_args', function( $args ) {
      $args['relevanssi'] = true;
      return $args;
    } );

    Hi Wim

    I am glad Relevanssi developer could come out with a solution to make it work with Brizy. Thanks for sharing it.

    Hi KC

    You're welcome. Here is an improved version of the snippit:

    add_filter( 'brizy_post_loop_args', function( $args ) {
      if ( isset( $args['s'] ) ) {
        $args['relevanssi'] = true;
      }
      return $args;
    } );
