    Hi Paul

If you add a background video to a page, even if the video does not play on a mobile device, it gets downloaded since it is part of the page. As an experiment, remove the background video and test the performance of your page with Pagespeed Insights. You are likely to see an improvement.

If you desire to improve the Pagespeed Insights score, you may need to get rid of the background video.

    Oh bummer.

Do you know if there are plans to allow this video to play on mobile—especially since it's already being loaded?

    Hi Paul

Brizy does allow videos to play in mobile devices as well. However browsers have strict rules to prevent auto playing of videos especially with sound. This poses some challenges in making it work.

    Thanks KC,

Is there a way from my end to make it more acceptable for mobile browsers?

    I appreciate the help! :)

    Hi Paul

Yes; you can consider this plugin if you are interested in a full page video background for both desktop and mobile. https://smartslider3.com/fullpage-video-block/. Please check out their demo page on your mobile.

This template is not included in their free plan. To use this template, you may need to buy their plugin.
