Google Tag Manager
-
Hi Ross.
Thank you for contacting us.
I wish we could be of help you, but we do not have expertise in setting up tags and triggers with Google Tag Manager to track button clicks and form submissions. Please see this article, perhaps it will help with your question. You can add it directly in the Google dashboard.
Best regards, Nelea.

Thank you but I've already been following this page.
Here’s what I get when I follow the instructions. Then if I add the code beside Click Classes to the trigger and connect it to the tag - nothing happens. Is it the wrong bit of code? Thanks :)0 -
Hi,
these class names are generated every time you load the page, so you can't use them because they're not static. You should find something like a static trigger so you can address it each time.

Hi Alex,I really am trying to find ‘something like a static trigger' and I have tried various bits of code but I’m not having any success. Is there a way someone could look into this or perhaps talk me through it? Here’s the type of thing I’m getting on the Tag Assistant.Or can I add CSS code into Brizy Cloud, advanced settings (see 4th screen grab). I have tried adding my own but google doesn’t seem to pick it up.I also trued this bit of code: .brz-a.brz-btn.brz-css-ftfgu.brz-css-gegpgHope you can help.0

Hi,
would love to help, but we really can't do that. Google Tag manager it's an external thing and that would mean we have to study how it works so we can find a solution for you. Adding a custom class to the button you want to track should help. Try contacting the Facebook community (which is very active) and maybe one of the current Brizy users has experience with this.

For those of with clients running commercial sites - this is a poor response.
We have been promised that Brizy will introduce analytics for over a year and, sadly, it hasn't appeared.
Google have an out-of-the-box solution that you say you don't want to "study".
Could I ask that a Brizy developer set in here and help us? I have clients that I need to report to.

Hi Ross,
this is not a dev thing and we can't involve one here. This is something Marketing Specialists do. At the moment Brizy does not have an in-house track button system but if you use a third-party we can't help you much.
I will add an internal request to make an article on our blog or a tutorial for GTM and Brizy but at the moment I can't help you with much more than a few general links from Google explaining how to use GTM.

To be clear - I'm not asking for you to understand Google as a Marketing Specialist. What I need is the tag information to apply to Google analytics.
Could you let me know how to assign a tag that isn't dynamic please?

For buttons, you can add a custom class and use it to track the actions: https://jmp.sh/o67t0dg
As for the form, you can't add a custom class to the submit button so if you have only one form on the page you could go with this class: https://jmp.sh/x4sJCLy
