Lightbox opening new page on CHROME
If I open a lightbox on CHROME (mac or PC) it opens a new page after about a second
https://iamcooley.com/home2/
Also happens on iPhone running safari and firefox focus

Hi Scott
You are right. The lightbox image opens in a popup first and then it opens the original image file.
There could be an incompatibility between the Shutter theme and Brizy. Would you mind doing this experiment? Please change your theme to Blocksy or another theme from this list and see if that helps. https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners

Hi George,
I tried Blocksy and OceanWP, both do the same thing across the above noted browsers0 -
Hi Scott
When you setup lightbox for images, normally it opens like in this page and does not redirect to the image URL. https://homi.kctest.online/carousel-2/. What is happening on your webpage is a deviation from the normal.
We will need to check your WordPress backend to troubleshoot this for you. If you need troubleshooting help, please give me access to your WordPress backend.

Hi George, Message was sent to you last night, just in case you haven't seen it

Hi Scott
I had not seen your invitation to access your WordPress dashboard. For some reason, the WordPress email went to my SPAM folder.
Please check https://iamcooley.com/home2/ The lightbox issue appears resolved. I only cleared cache.
Classic Editor plugin can possibly conflict with Brizy. In case if you find a similar problem in the future, try reverting to the block editor and check if it resolves. At the WordPress backend under Settings - Writing you can set the default to block editor. https://jmp.sh/WASRQiO

Hi George, unfortunately not resolved. I removed the classic editor plugin entirely, and the issue is still present on a fresh Chrome when not logged in as a user and on mobile devices

Hi Scott
Can you "purge full cache' in your cPanel and see if that helps? For the procedure, please check out this page https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/cpanel/cache-manager-cpanel/

Hi George,
I don't have that option with inMotion, since I just use them as a host but not a "Wordpress host" package. I used WP Fastest Cache to clear the cache though. No change0 -
Hi Scott
Can you check with your hosting company about this? You can tell them this.
"Image lightboxes on the page https://iamcooley.com/home2/ work well for logged in users. However for non logged in users when clicking on any image, the page redirects to the image file instead of opening in lightbox. I cleared all cache at WordPress dashboard. Is there a server side cache that I need to purge?"

Their answer was:
Thank you for holding Scott. You do not have any server-side cache that would be cleared. I understand it is not supposed to be behaving this way, but I would not be able to determine why it is doing that. I am not a developer.0 -
Hi Scott
Good to know there are no server side cache. I checked your plugins. Possibly there is some conflict between MonsterInsights and Brizy. When Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights is active the image lightbox gets redirected to the specific image file; when it is deactivated your image lightbox seems to work well.
It is possible to check your website analytics at analytics.google.com instead of checking it with MonsterInsights. Please consider deactivating MonsterInsights to fix this problem.

That did it, thanks George! You're a rockstar!
