    Hello!

    Thank you for your post.

We need some details here. Where did you receive the comment, in the WordPress dashboard or directly on the page, what is the text in this comment? Maybe it was a spam message?

Make sure you have enabled the "Allow comment" tab - https://jumpshare.com/v/95QLAO1ZTuttfLqZOlu0

    Regards, Natalia

Hey, thanks so much for your reply!

So the comment popped up in the comments tab of my dashboard, pending approval. It was made on one of my posts and wasn't actually bad - it was someone saying that they liked the content. I was just very surprised as to how they'd even managed since I hadn't put a comments element anywhere on my website. (I had accidentally left the 'allow comments' feature on but I didn't think it would matter since there wasn't anywhere to comment anyways).

I have since tried to add a comments element to one of my posts templates, but it doesn't show up on my desktop version, even more strangely, it will only show up at the bottom of the template on mobile versions (not sure about tablets we never tested it).

So in short, I had someone somehow write a comment when I didn't put a comments section anywhere on the post, after I tried to add one, I couldn't get the element to work properly, and it wouldn't show up properly on desktop versions and only on mobile versions.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi,

I tried to reproduce this but everything works well for us. Can you please send us a link to the post where you received the comment? I'll try to see if there's any form in the code.

btw: can you please confirm that we are talking about the latest Brizy versions - Free 2.3.26. and PRO 2.3.19?

    Hi,

I've just gone back and disabled the comments function manually on every post, I also deleted the comment that was posted. I'm not currently trying to have a comments section on my website so I'm not worried about the comments block working. I think all of this should solve the problem but if I get any other issues I'll make another post!

okey, let us know if you need anything else.

btw: for new posts you can disable comments in WordPress settings so you no longer have to manually disable for each one: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-completely-disable-comments-in-wordpress/#disable-comments-on-future-posts
