Not serving Webp images in the frontend
Hi,
I have 2 plugins in my website that optimize images, and this feature is very important to me due to SEO and overall optimisation of the website. Although this plugin is being utilised and webp is enabled I've noticed that the images are still being rendered in a brizy format. Are these images that brizy is outputting optimised ?
I have also tried using the shortpixel plugin that comes with brizy, if they're not fully optimized then the shortpixel plugin isn't even working..

Hello Ginel,
Thank you for your message!
Regarding what you said, can you please tell us what plugins do you use? At the same time make sure you have the latest versions of Brizy : Free - 2.3.17 and Pro 2.3.13 . Make sure you clean the cache. Hope to hear from you soon!
Kind regards,
Doina

Thanks for your response.
As plugins I'm using WP Rocket for overall optimisation and images, and also tried using Imagify (one or the other when it comes to image optimisation). Tried switching between the two to test and check if any of them make a difference.
I am using the latest versions of brizy too and cleared cache.
I've also tried using the shortpixel free 100 images however in brizy integration it doesn't have an option for webp images.
The format of the images are like this : http://no-mariacasinofree.eu-central-1.elasticbeanstalk.com/wordpress/?brizy_media=180&brizy_crop=iW%3D245%26iH%3D183%26oX%3D0%26oY%3D26%26cW%3D245%26cH%3D129&brizy_post=179
I've also tested a page on my website using Lighthouse console and it showed me that there are a few images that needed optimisation therefore Brizy isn't taking the optimised versions from the plugins mentioned above.
How can this be resolved pls ?

Hello Ginel,
Thank you for your message and details!
Regarding what you said, at the moment, we don't recognize the webp image format. We are working on this image module and when it will be released then will be possible to convert images to this format and use them in Brizy pages without any problems. Now, we kindly ask you not to convert them to webp image format. Thank you for the understanding! If you have any other questions or problems, please feel free to ask!
Have a nice day and kind regards,

Okay if the webp format is not recognised in Brizy yet, do you have an idea when this issue will be tackled ? As it will effect the SEO and performance of the website.
Brizy currently has shortpixel integrated with it and as a separate plugin it does have more features and optimization, however in brizy these settings are limited to compression only.
Until this gets resolved from Brizy is there a temporary plugin that I can download and resolve this issue until the release ?
