Migrate brizy cloud website v1 to new Brizy CMS cloud
Hey Guys
I have a website that I built with an early edition of brizy cloud i.e. without the blogging and ACF support.
So how do I migrate/update the site to the latest version with all the bills and whistles?
I understood this was going to happen automatically within a certain time frame, but I'm still waiting and I now need these extra features for this sites

Thanks, Rawson

Hi Rawson,
This will be done in an update for all users. We can't give you an ETA but it certainly will be). If you need this now then you could recreate the old site in the new dashboard. You can use the "save layout" option to speed this up.

Yes I could use the save layout, but there are too many other little things to change and make it exactly the same.
I was really hoping that you were already migrating users over already.. this really needs to be given a start date asap!
Is there any idea of a start date, like 1months time, 6months time, 1years time, etc, just so I don't waste my time doing it manually when you are about to do it automatically?
thanks, Rawson

Hi,
sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Unfortunately, we do not have a clear date for this update. What is certain is that it will not be in the next 3 months.

Ok thanks for letting me know.. :-(
also are there any announcements about all the fixes and changes that are happening as would be good to hear what's happening lately?

Hi,
You can check Cloud changelog to see what was done in every update: https://www.brizy.io/changelog-cloud/
Kind regards,

Hi Denis
I do check the changelogs, but that is not what I was referring to! More about the status of the current development, Brizy update plan, speed & performance increases, what's coming out next, and when they will migrate everyone's cloud website over to the new cloud v2 framework, that type of thing.
Cheers, Rawson

Hi,
Thank you for your reply and explanation.
In this case you can refer to our Roadmap board here: https://trello.com/b/0buMUNOS/brizy-cloud-public-roadmap
Best regards,

Dennis, there is no new information on the Roadmap for sometime, so it doesn't provide the information I'm looking for and I think you know that, so I would appreciate a proper update from the Developer Team!
Even if they could put out a weekly newsletter update, about the status of where they are at, what they are working on, what's moving forward and what is not, be as transparent as possible.. we know there are issues that pop-up with development, so be forth coming with everything.
Thanks, Rawson

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
How you can see in this board are mentioned complex tasks that contain hundreds (sometimes thousands) sub-tasks. This will take a lot of time to add them all in roadmap and manage. We think it will be better to spend this time on development and improvements rather than doing that.
For sure, we'll try to provide more information about development progress. Migrating old projects to new CMS is a very complex task and we can't and don't want provide any ETA so as not to give any hopes and later not meet expectations. I hope you can understand what I mean.Best regards,

Are there any updates on this? I don't see it on the roadmap. Thanks

Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
Regarding the question you have, we are sorry to say that this future is not ready yet. At the moment we are working on it but I cannot tell exactly when it will be released.
Best regards, Nelea.
