Site Is Broken
Hi, I only use Brizy Cloud and I've never had an issue with it until recently. I assume the bug is due to the latest update, but with just using Brizy Cloud, I'm unable to see which version of Brizy I'm currently using and I have no way to change the version that I'm aware of.
Again, I don't use WordPress, instead I download the HTML files and upload them on my own server. I used to do this without any issue. But, for the past week or so I noticed once published live, my site is beyond broken.
Please help me figure out a solution so I can have my site back up again.
Thank you,
Evan P.

Hello Evan,
The htaccess file for this project is not working. Please, contact the server provider and ask him if the mod_rewrite option is enabled.
Thank you!

Hi Natalia,
When I deleted my old site's files, it deleted the .htaccess file. I just restored it. Please let me know if this is what you're referring to for the mod_rewrite option and which boxes I should check off.
I used to have a web developer who would handle my server backend, but he got Covid and hasn't been responsive lately.
Thank you,
Evan P.

Hi Natalia,

I posted another comment before this where I included a screenshot of the options I have for the .htaccess file, but that post is still pending 9 hours later.
So if you could that post approved so you can view it, then you can let me know if that's what we're looking for. If not, that could help point me in the right direction.
Thank you,
Evan P.

Hello Evan,
Thank you for your message! We are sorry for the late response. This is due to the time difference. We have received both your messages, do not worry.
Now, regarding your problem, we would love to help you but this 404 error is not our issue. It is not Brizy related. See this: https://jmp.sh/jXhzSfd . At the same time, check out this: https://www.seobility.net/en/wiki/Mod_Rewrite . We recommend to contact your hosting provider because issues related to .htaaccess are complicated and might provoke other problems. Hope this made things clear for you!! If you ever encounter any other problem or have any questions, please feel free to ask! We will be happy to help!
Have a nice day and best regards,
Doina

Hi Doina,
Thank you very much for that clear explanation! If utilizing Brizy's Cloud server is a more reliable option I wouldn't mind using that. How would I properly go about switching to that while maintaining my URL?
Sincerely,
Evan P.

Hello Evan,
Thank you for your message!
Regarding what you said, please see this : https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360041764052-Custom-domain-A-Record-Redirect- . This is an article on how you can set your A Record for the transition to Custom Domain publishing. But first you need a custom domain name that you can buy from providers like: GoDaddy, 1&1, SiteGround etc. Hope this will help you! If anything happens, please contact us!
Have a nice day and kind regards,
Doina
