Background Video

Are there any ways where I can make a seamless background video like this - https://www.rolex.com/world-of-rolex.html. I currently set it on the section background - shorturl.at/loyDR. However, I can see a splash of black screen, loading spin and able to start and pause the video.

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    The problem may be in the video size. It is recommended that the uploaded videos are as small as possible so that they can be uploaded quickly and also to be uploaded from the CDN. The video from your post video has 6sec. and 1.2MB which is ok for loading speed.

    Works on their mobile version. Shame we can't do the same yet. Can we get and ETA on this? File size isn't an excuse in a 5G world.

    Okay - let me put it this way. Is there a way (a work around, anything) that I can run a video in the background of a mobile and Tablet version of my site?

    If not - I need to find another builder to do this.

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    Unfortunately, at the moment isn't possible to add a Video in the background of your tablet or mobile, therefore we have already created a feature request on this subject. But you can add a video that will appear on mobile, using the Video element.

    Hi Ross,

    It is a shame that we can't do this with Brizy yet. However, I managed to achieve the video background with Smart Slider 3. It will run on tablet and mobile. If you are looking to add just texts and buttons. This would work for you. If you are looking for a builder with video background for the section, Flatsome theme (comes with its own builder) is one of them.

    I just need the video to play on mobile and tablet in the background as I have to rebuild a previous site.

    I'll have a look at Smart Slider 3 and see if it can help me.

    Starting to think I should have stuck with Elementor instead of going all-in with a lifetime sub for Brizy. I knew there had to be a catch :(

    On that link https://www.rolex.com/world-of-rolex.html  the video is in the header, how do we do that on brizy? 

    The header goes white when you put the mouse over it, but otherwise the header menu is transparent and the video plays within it. 

    I would like to do the same.

    Hi Ingrid,

    As for having the header overlaying the playing video, I have added -80px to the bottom margin of the header element and adjusted the overlay background transparency. There are other ways to do this such as adding a row and column element inside the section element if you added the video as the background of a Brizy Section. However, I like to keep the header section separately.

    Adding -80px to the top margin of your video section might be better if you are using a global header and do not want the -80px margin to affect all your other pages.

    For the hovering effect, you can change the transparency of the header section overlay on hover mode.

    Two years ago you wrote: "We will try to make it a priority." and what?
    This is the biggest disappointment in a long time. I didn't check if there is such a function on mobile as background video, now it turns out that I can't fully work on Brizi and have to look for diferente tool... Can i unsubscribe and get a refund as you are not up to expectations?

    While we work on completing the feature, you can use a temporary workaround. Add the following CSS code in WordPress Appearance > Additional CSS to enable video backgrounds on mobile devices:

    @media (max-width: 767px) {
        .brz-bg-video {
            display: block !important;
        }
    }

    Note: Autoplay is affected by Google’s Autoplay policy on Chrome browsers.
