Brizy template isn't pulling through properly and instead the Astra theme will show for this new category page.

For some reason the Brizy template isn't pulling through properly and instead the Astra theme will show for this new category page. I believe the issue has to do with the Brizy template page settings and probably the display condition settings on the page. The page will show correctly when previewed until the display conditions are added and the page is published.

 

This is a brand new category page we are making. We have 5 existing category page brizy templates that have been working correctly. The issue is only with this new page.

 

Couple notes:

- I've tried building a new Brizy template page which still had the same issue

- I've tried creating a new category to see if that would resolve the issue with the brizy template I'd already built and it did not

- I've tried changing the display conditions to a different blog category (Ex: awards) and the same issue was still happening so I don't think it's a category page issues

- I tried changing the display conditions to the new "Case Study" category on an existing category page that was working previously ("Chemical Handling Tips") and it ended up breaking that page so I reverted it back

- I've tried disabling plugins (except WP rocket)

  Hi Glenn,

  we would like to know more details about the issue you have. What exactly is the problem? On the link you sent I see an archive page created with Brizy Template: https://jmp.sh/NFLQ7UR Should it look different? Does the condition not apply correctly to the template?

  Hi Alex,
  Thanks for the response. We think we got it resolved today:
  When in the brizy page builder I had narrowed down the issue to the “posts” Wordpress element through adding and deleting elements while publishing to see what happened. I noticed that when the posts element was deleted it would work fine so I figured there must be some setting off there that’s conflicting with the display conditions. Turns out the posts element in its settings was filtering for the awards category and not our case studies category. I adjusted the filtering to the right category and it works now. There really shouldn’t be a feature that conflicts with another feature like that but all is good now!
